I think Kel Mitchell was supposed to be a cast member alongside Kenan, but Kenan was chosen over Kel and the cast member they got with the last name "Mitchell" was Finesse (even though that's not his real name).

Me too! 😭 I was kind of bummed at the start of the sketch. Felt wrong to do this without Kel, but last I heard he hadn't been doing well and had beef with Keenan or something. I never expected the man himself to burst onto the scene. Kicking it off with a classic orange soda gag. Reunited. 😭😭😭

@BenMcBrayer Kenan and Kel been back working together with different things for like the last 6 years now, they just had a skit together at the Emmys this year, and just had a script read with Paramount for Good Burger 2, and they're talking about bringing back Kenan and Kel show as well

They did another SNL skit, a Good Burger reunited sketch on Jimmy Fallon/The Tonight Show, Fandango ads and a few other things. They grew apart and stopped talking for many years but actually reunited in real life around 5-6 years ago
