I had high hopes for this Leather Repair Kit. It worked, but not nearly as well as I would have hoped. Might have to do with being a novice leather repairman, but I expected the product to jump that hurdle. It came in a mailer envelope and the product was contained in a plastic bag with directions and 12 unlabeled colored leather restorer resins. Directions indicated 12 7 oz. resins in White, Blue, Red, Yellow, Wood White, BurIwood, Black, Reddish Brown, Burgundy, Cedar, Grey, and Brown Walnut. Minimal directions on how to use the product. Basically, clean damaged area, mix & match colors, apply color, and smooth. Mixing available colors to match the bar stool I was attempting to repair went pretty ok for non-artist mixing colors, in my opinion. Application of the product was relatively easy. Mixed and applied product twice. Not outstanding results. Granted I was attempting to repair a sizable damaged area and the bar stool damage definitely looked better than when I started, but I expected better results from the Amazon advertised description. Maybe you need to have more experience using the product to get fabulous results, but I was not very impressed with the end outcome. 3*’s. I will proceed with the resale or trashing of the two bar stools I have left. I will also try the product on my leather car seat cracks when the weather warms. The weather here is a pretty constant 20°’s presently for the next few months. Possibly it will work better on real black leather without color mixing.
