I also imagine she sleeps very soundly, with relatively few nights beyond her natural circadian rhythm. Moderate exercise. No drugs and only a smidgen of alcohol every now and again. Good genes is a benefit, but all the good genes in the world can't help the daily DNA damage we get from living life fast and eating all the wrong things... I'm guilty as charged of all those things: skin ruined now i'm 36.

MsEeem3 I have never left a bad, mean comment on any RU-vidr's content because I know they put a lot of work and effort in their videos,but the other day I commented on this Gaint EOS lip blam video stating the obvious that " this is the waste of energy n everything used in the video" I didn't personally attack the RU-vidr but the mean comments I got..... so personal, cursing and abusing me.....so watching a Nice comment thread really cheered me up.
so interesting how instagram/RU-vid make gurus will need a transitional shade, a cream shade and 2 browns and one black eyeshadows to create something like this while u only used one cream eyeshadow and a liner. U r truly a great makeup artist, to be able to create wonderful looks with minimal products.
+FunkyPrank I think Lisa's looks are more modern, and more couture/editorial, and more elegant, precisely because she only uses one or two eye products, just blended/shaded well... Having grown up in the '80s, I find the looks done by younger beauty IG-ers and youtubers look dated, or more accurately, if I did those looks, I would look like I was stuck in a dodgy 1980 synth-pop music video but without the punk chic! Lisa is same generation as me, so I think she may have a similar mindset towards textures and powders and too many shades looking retro, unless the retro/vintage-80s is the desired look (which is great if that's what you want :) )
So true. I feel like YT "gurus" are just trying to show off rather than be helpful or realistic. That's why I love Lisa. She's a true pro. She uses one color because she knows what she's doing and knows blending is the key to getting a smoky look rather than using 5 different shades of black. It's also attainable. You actually feel like you could do it yourself whereas I just get depressed watching Jaclyn Hill and Michelle Phan because you feel like you can never be as good as them or do the looks they do.
Lisa I have a request/suggestion/idea. You could start doing makeup on your subscribers. Meaning you could post a facebook status or ask in a youtube video for a certain type of face/features and choose from the people who will respond. I would love to be in one of your videos and I would fly from Greece to London if I got chosen!

Not at all the point of the video, but I have to point out that I love the way Lisa contours by slowly building up subtle color instead of making harsh dark brown lines all over the face and "blending" it out. Very nice to see someone resist overdone contouring.

Lisa, it just amazes me just how gentle you are when you do makeup. You barely touch your models faces and magic just happens! I've seen makeup tutorials where the artist is practically slapping products on their subject's faces lol
I actually tried this look out yesterday... so easy to replicate and being a gothic girl I love it - for once it was nice that I actually had the products to hand that were used too... and yes Doina's skin is beautiful x

I usually shy away from this type of look because I think that it makes me look much older, (especially black liner in the waterline), but I will give it a try anyway, x

What I appreciate as much as her beautiful skin, is the shape of her face-my face is longish and I have a tough time creating successful looks when all of the models have these classic heart shaped or round faces with high cheekbones. Oh well :)
+Laura Libner This is (one of many reasons) why I love +Lisa Eldridge ... her face shape, and skin tones are so close to my own, I can pretty much just use things in a slightly lighter shade, and know it will work with my face shape. ;)

But nowadays I've grown to accept my round face (even if it comes with the price of chubby cheeks) because I can't imagine having another kind. And it's nice someone has something nice to say about round faces :D

I'm usually very heavy handed with my application. Every time I do my makeup now I think "be like Lisa" because you just barely touch the model with your brushes and it looks perfect!
I love lisa's type of makeup, Its not heavy like you see in most makeup tutorials and it really does what makeup is supposed to do, inhance your natural features not changing your face to an entire different one!

Coconut? ew! Leave that for your hair! That isn't good for the face at all.For hair only ! seafood as a whole is great. Veg is equally as great but organic stuff is best. I'm investing in a water filter because of the nasty chemicals in it nowadays.
The model is absolutely gorgeous but Lisa's makeup is just stunning - looks like barely there, just something a lottle bit on lips and yet she looks so glamorous! Every single time I'm amazed more and more of Lisa's philosophy of makeup!

wow there are so many technical parts of this look that I struggle with and lisa makes it look so easy! Like the placement of the eyeshadow on the inner corners and outer edges of the top lid, and she makes the color tattoos look fabulous. Not to mention how she applies bronzer on unpowdered skin and it still manages to blend beautifully without looking like there is too much. I did notice that once the highlighter/glitter/gloss is put on the lids, the look appears rather grey, but maybe that's just on camera

I would really like to know the whole process behind a photoshoot. All the steps : if the photographer and makeup artist are chosen before the model and the subject or the story, if you have meetings with the magazine to decide the details. And then, how and when you do your research to find the perfect look and the perfect products. Do you try the look before on yourself? I think (I hope!) that I'm not the only one who is very curious about this industry. I hope you will see this and maybe consider doing a blogpost about it- or a video?I think it would be really interesting. Anyway, that you very much for your work and the time you take to make these videos and read the comments!
Lisa, could you please do a tutorial for really hooded lids? My hood goes all the way past the outer rim of my eye & you can barely see any of my mobile lid, so I really struggle with eyeshadow placement. Thank you x

I wear a more toned-down version of this pretty much every day and I use the Maybelline colour tattoo in Permanent Taupe with a tiny dab of the Body Shop's liquid highlighter in the centre of the lid. I must admit it works pretty well that way but I always wanted to know how makeup artists create this sort of wet look, so this was perfect! Thanks Lisa!!

Lisa is a talented woman who is lucky to have the privilege of doing makeup on very famous celebrities and models such as Kendall Jenner. There is only a handful of makeup artists who are lucky enough to be able to experience, and it was just a funny statement expressing that I'd never be that lucky.
