Thank you for taking the time to do this thorough review of the lift. You’re the only person who has shown the process involved in loading and unloading a big, heavy cruiser/tourer bike. Thank you for that! I find the loading/unloading process too dangerous. I would have preferred them having removable side panels to enable riding the bike up to load it on to the lift. And then to unload the bike you could sit on the bike and push it back with your feet on those side panels. Again, thanks for the effort put into making this video and for helping me with the decision making process.

Agreed! I feel that their promo video is deceptive because they use a light weight bike and don't show the actual load/unload process. It would be easier to use if you could ride on/off the lift

LOL What a classic ending. That thing looks a little dicey to me. I have a traditional table lift with side panels that I ride the bike on. but if someone is limited with space, I can see this as an option.

Thank you! very well done! funny thing is I just purchased a Handy Lift from a friend that no longer rides and it has the 12 inch wide table extensions on it. even though I have the room for the table Lift, had I seen your video first, I might have gone with yours. Thanks for the feedback! I watched Joe Goes Harbor Freight lift in his latest video....he can't seem to flat foot the bike all the way onto the lift, so I still like the one I have better! Especially since I don't have to manually jack it up! Safe travels!!

When unloading by myself i keep the bike in gear. If it moves to quick the front wheel will lock up and slide off. Having bike in gear lets me pop clutch and stop bike with rear wheel. Saved me a few times unloading big Touring bike

Thanks for the review on the Kendon Cruiser lift. I have the same lift and made modifications of ray lift to be able to have small platforms on each side that I fabricated myself for the permanent or removable applications on the lift. I have my 2015 Ultra Limited that stays loaded all the time with all my gear as I ride it daily. I will post a video on my channel showing this very soon. At first I thought this would be perfect, but then I"m also thinking the wide platform HF style might be better for the extra work surface. I suppose it comes down to whether you need to move it when not in use. Air lift vs 100 pumps? I'll spend the extra for air when I finally buy one. And yeah, manufacturer demos with tiny women and MSF bikes..

Thanks for the detailed video. I got to say coming off the lift was nerve wracking, coming back on scared the crap out of me. I think I would make some wood platforms for either side so I could ride it up if I went with this unit.

It's not easy! My very first attempt, I couldn't get it off the wheel chock! I had to have a friend help. Once I adjusted the wheel chock, it was easier. I suspect it will be easier the more I use it. I am comfortable using it. A shorter person or someone (a little less strong) might struggle.

Nice tutorial overview! I’ve got an older version of your lift with no adjustment options for the chock. It handles my ironhead Sportster just fine. I might recommend keeping a small scissor jack under the bike while it’s on the Kendon lift, even if it’s in the lowered position. This adds more stability and is a safeguard should a user experience loss of tire pressure which would greatly reduce tie down strap tension. Especially concerning for those choosing to keep their bike on the lift for an extended period of time. It’s cheap insurance in my opinion.

It seems quite sturdy. The sketchy part for me is getting it off the stand. If she starts to go over, it's going to be a mess. I'll be interested in how this pans out for you as you use it. Great job, Cue.

I had someone help me the first couple of times. It's not too bad once you get use to it. I haven't tried it with my RG Ultra yet....it's HEAVY! I actually dropped the RG on my trailer once 😳😳. Took 3 of us to pick it up!

Loading is easy. Unloading is a skill! I am not concerned about it, however a smaller statured person might struggle. There are adjustments to the wheel chock that can make it easier to pull off of the wheel chock. The key is to make sure you're not pulling the bike over a hump. You want the wheel chock level with the ground.

I have the same compressor. It’s about 11 years old. Just adjust it to the right pressure and it shoots shoot right up. I have a bigger lift which i love. But it’s much wider

I wish I had room for a wider lift. I'd prefer to be able to ride onto it. But....my lot in life is a 2 car garage....so portability is a high priority

The tie downs are all pulling to the rear..the same direction the bike comes off. The front strap may not let the wheel rise up enough to go over the check, though. I usually tie front and back in opposite directions, depending on whether I'm pulling a wheel. May be something to think about..Good video!

Great point. I had to look at the video again to see what you were talking about. The bike seems very stable while strapped down. The chock is going a good job hold it in place. I think the front strap is pulling downward enough into the chock to hold it in place. I've lifted the bike a couple of times with only the front tied down (but I dont recommend anyone else do that!) I shook the bike quite a bit while fully lifted to ensure it's stable. I'm satisfied with the results. You made excellent points!!

I have the same lift. The biggest problem I have is getting it off. I may try and move the chock like you did because it was nearly impossible to get off the lift with a single person so I just removed the whole thing. I’m gonna try the second hole

I have a wheel chok and small lift i bought from a friend. First time I use the wheel chok i had a hard time getting it out. Had to have someone push it from the front as i pulled

I had a hard time getting it out of the chock the first time. It's especially tough since you're not sitting on the bike. Adjusting the chock so that it is level when the tire is on it, made a big difference

thank you , Iam really thinking on this lift, I appreciate your review , I have a 2003 Bmw R1150 gs , and not a lot of space , I also do a little buying building and selling of Bmw adventure bikes , and I'am ready to not be on my knees , when I"am working on the bike . and the only advantage Of the harbor freight lift table , would be , that one could use it a a work bench, for other projects due to its width , and same story , Kendon"s advertisement videos , just didn't give me enough information , Great video ! , I am certain that this lift by Kendon , will be my choice , Thank you 😊 sincerely David G Schoenoff DavGoFarMotorSports 😎

Thanks for the feedback! I made my first attempt at an oil change....didn't go well! I had an issue using my oil drain pan. Kendon sells a drain pan so I am going to order theirs and try again. I also need they center jack for tire changes. I will do videos on both sometime in the future

It looks like a nice compact lift. I'm not sure if I would put my 430 lb zx10r on it or not honestly. Your 800ish lb Harley defense no not in good conscience. I acknowledge I am using a HF lift which definitely isn't perfect.

@@RidingandWrenching I have seen people make wooden boxes the length of the lift that sits on the floor so you have a place to put your feet so you can ride it onto the lift.

I’ve had my Kendon lift for over 6 years. Biggest issue I have is unloading the bike. But I am a lot smaller than you are, I will try using the second pin location (as you suggested). I like to have a helper to unload. It is nice to be able stand the lift up against the wall (out of the way). I also have a pit bull jack/lift, I use it allot more then the Kendon. I also added non slip to the ramp and back section.

It's not easy. I am going to experiment with the wheel chock...if it is in the wrong position, it's even more difficult to get it off the lift. I intentionally included loading/unloading since Kendon doesn't show that in ANY of their videos....especially with a heavy bike like a Harley.

Great video! Would it be possible to lay a platform on both sides , just wide enough, and the same height as the lift so you can have a place for your feet and actually ride the bike on to the lift, and straddle the bike and walk it off the lift?

You should try a Harley Davidson type jack. That looks risky, people will be walking next to bike and it goes flying into the wall, backing it up, you need to be a powerliftter. My bike is 22 years old and I would not risk it on that, if I bought a 40k new bike, no way. Not to be rude, the accident videos would be funny if no one was hurt.

@@RidingandWrenching I did not say to post accident videos, not being rude, that jack looks like one waiting to happen, I would just get a jack you put under the bike and not have to roll it on or off, people can’t use the clutch while sitting on the bike, let alone walking next to it. Just notice yoju had a helper with you.

It's pretty stable. The tough part is getting the bike on and off the lift. Also I will need to buy the Kendon oil change pan....and there center bike lift. I'll have those soon

I got a 18 street glide, I would not trust that lift with my bike, no way. Looking at a table lift with side extensions.

@@RidingandWrenching that looks way to unstable for a touring bike. Not to mention the fact that you can’t ride it up on the lift which makes it a disaster waiting to happen. That’s why I say I’m looking for a lift with side extensions. So I can ride the bike on the lift safely and the side extensions to put your feet on.

What is the Max weight load it can hold? Would it be advised to take out things that are stored in your bags before using. So the weight transfer is even.

Just bought a 2020 street glide. It still has the stock bars, and I'm going with the 12-inch bars . Will I have to change the brake lines for the extended ones

I think you will be ok with most 12" bars. I put 14" bars on a 2020 Ultra Glide and had to replace the brake line

There is a center stand that is a separate accessory that enables tire changes. You would need some type of center stand for any lift to do a tire change
