Not sure why it’s not on Genius but the line “I don’t do it for the Gram (Graham) I do it for Compton” was a response to a Drake interview saying Kendrick is too local and not global enough
He did diss Drake. Drake is also called as the boy and Kendrick said: " boy cute ass raps get your puberty up. Then make you a classic album before you come at us. Drake n Meek Mill beef might got you gassed up. But I'm a whole other beast I'll really fuck you up". So yeah he went at Drake too.
Everyone saying Kendrick has always hated Drake that’s not true. Control is the start of it. Drake confirmed himself as an outsider to the culture when he cried about being mentioned. When EVERY one else didn’t. And it’s not about race. Mac miller was mentioned in control and they went on to make more music AFTER control.
So we had to wait 5+ years for these tracks to be confirmed as Drake disses… And only after all the biggest rappers in the industry jumped him…. Got ya 👍🏾
@@reviewshoneybee Typical of your kind, can never sit something out. Can never say “that’s nice” and leave it alone. It’s always followed by “I’m gonna a get one, I’m gonna start doing/saying that”. Always gotta be involved front and centre as if you belong. ALWAYS gotta capitalise on our culture. Whoever didn’t get it probably doesn’t belong here either. Who tf are you to explain it even people don’t understand?!?!?!?!? Now let us start breaking down country music. The shyt Beyoncé got was atrocious but can you imagine? Sickening. Actually nauseating. You make me sick.
@@reviewshoneybee Arrogant while you make money from us. It’s gotta be in your blood. You can’t help but to see shyt, take over and somehow make it yours. Get tf out of out of our business. You aren’t welcome. You don’t have to be everywhere. It’s okay to mind your f*cking business and watch from the sidelines sometimes.
People don’t realize Drake sneak dissed Kendrick while in Compton on the song “100” with The Game “I will have all of your fans if I didn’t go pop and stayed on some conscious shit”
These recent disses he just released already showcase the type of thing he's referring to. Kendrick expanding on and making earlier lines make more sense.
It's not really a reach. An early version of "Element" leaked with Kendrick dissing Jay Electronica, French Montana, Big Sean and Drake all by name. For Drake he raps: "Cute ass raps, get your puberty up Then make you a classic album before you come at us, Drake the Meek Mill beef might got you gassed up But I’m a whole ‘nother beast, I’d really fuck you up" He changed it for the album. But kept this part: "Bitch, all my grandmas dead, So ain't nobody prayin' for me, I'm on your head, ayy" (direct reference to bars on "Worst Behavior") "I don’t do it for the ’Gram (Grahams), I do it for Compton" (Drake dissed Kendrick on Game song "100" & video was shot in Compton. It came out months after "To Pimp a Butterfly").
Bro we all knew who he was talking to for yrs so y are u acting so surprised? Is it u new rap/pop listeners seem a bit slow with how Hip Hop works and the hints that been very clear towards Ms. Aubrey. I don't even listen to him and still knew who Dot was talking about bc he's been a plant from the jump. If you pulled some paper out to spit a freestyle back in my young days that was it for u as a rapper but they let him do that on Hot 97 showing the world he was a zionist joke.
