I was just watching a interview with him. He said this is the end of the album but the beginning it’s how you interpret it..this song has a deeper meaning.
ill try to explain it as simple as possible, kendrick on the way where blood is the beginning is scared of being DAMNED. by god so he slowly turns around his sins and becomes religious. While reverse, kendricks father dies and turns into a life of crime and turns his good doings into sins like PRIDE. and LUST. And if blood is the end in the reverse tracklist he tries to help the blind lady to undo his wrong doings and not get DAMNED. but its too late and he dies. hope this explains it to anyone who didnt know!
