TheBlashMusic yo! man i thought it was just me that felt like that! man the change up on Duckworth is crazy! to me thats the best song on the album! Kendrick is fire, what a way to finish the album!
got taught by 9th wonder at the times he made this track.. he warned he created fire w kendrick in the lecture. its probably one of my most proud moments of my life.. being able to be told that hip hops top 5 masterpiece was being made by the man who taught me how to give life to samples
I read somewhere that Kendrick actually asked for 3 different beats for this song from 9th and it was his idea to combine all three for the story. The only storytelling rap song that’s on this level in recent memory, combining lyrics & production/arrangement, is PROM/KING by Saba. Genius
The most memorable song on the album for me. It's that type of sampled music that could move you to jam and think about life struggles at the same time.
Reminds me of How Much A Dollar Cost on TPAB At the end of the song Where Kendrick says "you're looking at the Messiah the son of Jehovah" I wasn't ready for that Still sends chills down my spine whenever I listen
Man it was so epic when this album came out. I remember bumpin it a few times right when it came out at 9pm west coast time, going to school the next day and all my friends were talking about it, driving to a friends house after school and bumping dna over and over
Cats been sleepin on 9th Wonder. I made an instrumental Playlist with beats like this, alot of them are 9ths: Hip Hop Instrumental Mastery: ru-vid.com/group/PLipKT-qdO-yzEffk88BfyU4tPzCHw2oKX
9th Wonder has always remained underground and working with the likes of Little Brother, Jean Grae, Midion, Black Milk and a few others...but Lamar struck Gold, Diamond and Oil when 9th climb on board..result👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
