I'm not gonna lie, reaction channels are so boring and oversaturated these days. But you, you bring something different to the scene. Def didn’t expect The Art of Peer Pressure to be one of the ones that made you cry but I definitely get it. This album changed my life because to a much lesser extent I was Kendrick in this album at the time of its release. I was caught up in drugs, almost arrested (thank god the cop was cool) and drifting further and further from my family, all to impress “the homies.” Now “the homies” are all gone. We love you Path!!! Another great video. GKMC was an experience to me growing up. As young black kid growing up, I listened to a lot of rap but the moment I heard good kid for the first time I was flooded with emotions cause I felt like a rapper was finally speaking to me. Sing about me had me in tears the first time I heard it. Sadly, death's always been a huge part of my life, from murders to illness. I was 16 by the first time I heard the album & my father was the latest to go. He had MS. We bonded off of hip-hop. My oldest brother was murdered 4 years before that. I was left with such a bittersweet feeling after I heard the song but that third verse was so cathartic to me at that time. Idkw but it made me closer to music like this. Made me feel less alone.

i was fortunate enough to see kendrick in concert for the mr morale and the big steppers tour and no joke i spent half the concert with tears in my eyes as i (and literally the entire packed stadium) danced to every single song. there were people on the stairs smoking blunts, dancing with their partners etc. while kendrick performed bitch don't kill my vibe and it was arguably the most amazing experience i've ever had in my life. he is such a musical genius, man, and an AMAZING performer. the concert lasted for almost 3 and a half hours of him performing -- every single song (not counting interludes) on his new album, and everything anyone else could ask for. i feel like i got to witness one of the greats of this period of humanity -- like i was seeing beethoven in person or something. absolutely incredible edit: seeing you cry to 'the art of peer pressure' brought tears to my eyes. this is a great example of just how fucking amazing kendrick is. the ability to tie our completely unique experiences together in a way that invokes serious emotion in all of us is so amazing. you're loved, path

When you're starting to cry - seemingly out of nowhere, before you explain something super personal that just makes me feel for you. I hope you're ok. Even in your most vulnerable moments, you're focusing on protecting and looking out for your young audience. I hope you're ok. I could write so much more about my thoughts, but they're all very similar just written in different ways; you're one of the most caring people on this planet. Whatever success you have, you deserve more. Whatever fulfilment you feel, you deserve more. And if the universe doesn't give it to you right away when you wish for more, you have over hundred thousand people that will wish for you. Thank you for doing these reactions. This was reality for my cousins and best friends growing up in tough parts of Philly or Reading PA while I by a stroke of luck was born to the part of the family tree that made it out. This album is like a piece of some of them for me. A way to always have the loved ones I lost who tried their best to be the good kid but either couldn't make it out alive or are doing time behind bars. I'll always love my brothers and will always be grateful to Kendrick that in my opinion he chose to not only tell his story but their story too.

Wow. I connected with you during the chorus of Money Trees. It's exactly how I felt when i first heard that song. So refreshing to experience that moment again. Takes me back. Kendrick and Anna Wise's harmonizing is so mesmerizing. They work well together. She's also on a few songs on the To Pimp a Butterfly album.

I usually get touched when listening to this album (and other music), yet rarely moved to tears. But for some reason your reaction to and hearing the transition between Swimming Pools and Sing About Me, I'm Dying of Thirst just made me bawl. Thank you, Path, for this reaction and your sincerity.

I discovered your channel by chance but I love it. Your combination of live reactions and post-listen insight is unique and I appreciate hearing both parts. My favorite part (which I only pieced together watching this video) is how empathetic you are for the artist and the characters in the story. I struggle to connect with the emotions so being able to experience and understand them through you is a novel and meaningful experience.

This album blew 12 year old me’s brain, it’s cool growing up and understanding the album with more depth but even now I can’t decide which song is my favorite, on every listen one bar sticks out to me and that song becomes my favorite in that point in time until life changes and I relate to a different bar in a different song. This album gets better with time and with experience absolutely insane you get to listen to it for the first time with the mental forté of a 25 yr old

I really appreciate the way you listen to music. Not only looking through other source material the artists released alongside the project but taking the time to tailor you mindset to the album. I think the artists who make the art would appreciate that as well. You have a very thoughtful approach to their discography and I appreciate the time to put into listening. (lowkey i wanna go back and change the amount of times I said "appreciate" but this isn't an essay lol)

The way you think about the lyrics, understand where he is coming from and the fact that you really get emotional during Art of Peer pressure really resonated within me. It happens to be in my opinion, his greatest track ever. I was very impressionable as a 16-17 year old kid (as you said you were yourself). Kendrick genuinely changed my life and I am so glad I found your channel to cry along to the tracks with you on GKMC and Mr Morale as well. I cant wait to Pimp a Butterfly and Section 80!

Kendrick is so good at making this album feel like a cinematic experience. Everything is described in such vivid detail while still being cohesive and telling a complete story of his come up. While I still enjoy TPAB more for various reasons, I can't deny that GKMC has it's own unique place as the most 'visual' album in Kendrick's discography.
