I think Kendrick's wordplay is better than tupac, but only because tupac was not a lyricist to me. Tupac didn't put much emphasis on wordplay, maybe metaphors which strengthened his messages in songs. Tupac has flow, emotion and spoke more directly like he was talking to you. Kendrick is less direct and reminds me of a nas type of rapper, he wraps his emotion in lyrical flair and skill. But that's my opinion though.

@wizrdrecords2642
@wizrdrecords2642 4 года назад
TCB * go read any of Pacs notebooks, for as grimy and thuggish as the legend acted he dearly and deeply wanted peace within the black communities, even if he couldn’t always be the perfect poster child for it. Born to a black panther and speaking constantly on the need for peace between the people, I think he would have had the utmost respect for a young black Male pushing the gang / color banging shit aside to put the talent first. He would’ve had no disrespect for who Kendrick hangs with, with how Kenny has managed to bring soul heart and lyrics to a new generation and ignore the gap between reds and blues or blacks and whites for the sake of a better future.

kendrick is a top five rapper. I believe that he is not up to the level of skill that tupac has or the fame and recognition that Jay z has. Rei Afalava's comment was legitimate in all aspects accept for being overatted. He has earned his fame and recognition. This should be respected.
@absoluteform3

I feel like that's some textbook stuff to say, kendricks flows are better than pac, everyone is so stuck on pac when he doesn't even that much offer other than a street legacy.
@adrion3234
@adrion3234 10 лет назад
absoluteform3 Pac isn't one of the greatest for his "flow" he did not live behind just a street legacy, I'm not saying you haven't listened to him before, but I do suggest you listen to everything he has to off, Pac was great for his lyrics and the passion he bring with every song he did, not only that but he had a personal connection to all his fans that in my opinion no other hip hop artist has ever had, all of pacs songs tell a story, do you know how great he would be if he didn't die at only 25? People know his age but I don't think they realize how great of a person he would have become if he would have lived a full life, without a doubt he would have had a major impact on the world today, he was pretty much in the rap game and movie industry for only five years, imagine what he would be like now?

Absoul and kendrick lamar are both legend worthy. I don't know why people keep the older rappers in such high regards, someone explain.
@houstonetexaskid
@houstonetexaskid 10 лет назад
Older rappers such as tupac and biggie started rapping about what was going on in the streets before anyone else really the created what ONLY SOME rappers rap about today and no one can compare to what they did. They changed what rap was forever. And if you live or have experienced what they were rapping about then it really appeals to an audience. That's the difference between rapping about pussy money weed. I personally prefer people rapping about meaningful shit I could give a fuck about the bitches you fuck and the weed you smoke cus that shit don't make you real. "Real recognize real." that is how it is. And how it will always be. Period point blank.
@Mor4dracoRules

EM -.......... flow .......???? what exatly is your definition of flow (no disrespect to eminem he´s still one of the best) and I personally think that a Kanye west is way more influential on our society nower days than the GOAT 2pac

***** old em and even some of new em's like rap god and berserk. But Jayz's new shit is horrendous. No lyricism no flow nothing. Jayz completely fell off bruh. As for j.Cole and Kendrick theyre doing their thing right now.

I read the words carefully. Now, I have better news for you, for everyone: God is love you, when you get to know him as your heavenly father, your life changes, for ever as you know your sins are forgiven: for God so loved the world that he gave his only son that anyone who believes should not perish but have eternal life. Just ask Jesus (Jeshua) to come to your heart. He did take your punishment of sins when he was on the cross... Why should you suffer anymore for them: eternal separation from love and your creator, sickness... All this Jesus took on himself. Say thank you, accept the free gift and have a new start - and eternal life. He is alive! He rose from the dead and He will come back again. Soon!

I really don't see why people hate on him. guess its just the shine he's getting. I can care less about that or what he does on the features. As long as he brings heat on his own projects. Me being from the west coast, I enjoy seeing a different culture with the way hip hop is looked out on this side. No need to be gangster anymore, a lot of west coast lyricist. Ab, k dot, blu, murs, dizzy, a lot more that i can name but you get the picture.

A lot of mainstream rappers have deeper meaning songs like this, but no one takes the time to look into their underground music. Do it and you'll find a whole new world! I promise.

His perfection comes from the meaning of his words not from his rhymes. His vocabulary is so amazing that he finds words to rhyme while he puts meaning into it instead of using basic words and putting n*gga at the end of every line.
