Thank you. J Cole is constantly attacked when compared to Kendrick, especially after his apology, saying Cole is boring, and his beat is one note. Kendrick has done this for so long, but with a different voice. Kendrick was quiet before dropping his best album, and I think the Off Season is definitely going to prove why Cole does not deserve the disrespect.

I've been saying this for a while. I remember when SECTION 80 was recommended back in the day. Good album, but GKMC was definitely a classic album. PIMP was decent, good tracks, not a cohesive project, but if you look at what was out in 2015, there wasn't much comp. I thought it was good, but I felt like the media was pushing him too much. DAMN was chill, and I was wondering why he got a pulitzer. There was nothing on DAMN that I had not experienced before. When he got a grammy for MR MORALE, I realized that he was part of the corporate stream and he was a favorite.

Honestly never really liked Kendrick Lamar. Some of his lyrics are so repetitive, like 90% of DNA. and Alright are just him repeating the same exact bar. Also in some songs like euphoria it almost sounds like his voice is cracking or something. A lot of his bars I hear in some songs don’t even rhyme too.
Listen to Lupe fiasco slr2 he’s dissing Kendrick. Everything you are saying Lupe pointed on. He’s very good at manipulating his voice, and stressing his words in a way that gives him one of the best DELIVERIES. Coles pen is way better, and has a better flow.

Took me a couple of repeats for me to start liking it. To be fair, that was my initial opinion on Graduation by Ye too. I never got a good first impression with it, but I like them both now, though I wouldn't say they're masterpieces. No matter what, for TPAB, I still despise Hood Politics and for Graduation, it's for sure Drunk n Hot Girls and Champion. Overall, I just think the glazing is the big problem and ruined the impact these albums had. They're great, but boy are they ovehyped to death.
