This song is very nostalgic to me because right when I decided that Kendrick Lamar was my favorite artist of all time, the heart part IV came out and it was god tier and then DAMN. Came out and it’s not my favorite Kendrick album, it had some solid tracks. TPAB or GKMD is my favorite album becuase they both a different vibe. To pimp a butterfly has more funk but has one of my favorite and one of the first Kendrick Lamar songs I listed to which was King Kunta. In 2017, I listened to bits and pieces of both albums. But this year, I binged all albums in one day, no skips, and then I binged Born Sinner and Forest hills drive. If Kendrick Lamar needs to take more time to drop his album or can’t becuase of the virus currently, that’s okay. I want Kendrick to take as much time as possible to make the album he wants to do and if he wants to tweak it later and then release the album later, that’s perfectly fine. When his next Album drops, even if it is a “Rock” album, I’m sure I will learn more about his style and what lead him to be one of the greatest rappers of our generation and could most definitely be there with MF doom, Tupac, Biggie, nas, jay-z, and every other amazing rapper. He is truly one of the goats of rap

I may be reachin, but the two most recent singles from both J. Cole and Kendrick (High for hours & The Heart part 4) have the same tattered, black background and we know they got music together from that Ab-soul interview... makes ya think🤔

I know this is a stretch but I feel like Kendrick might be taking shots at joey. Joey has said multiple times that he is better than Kendrick, but then go on to say that he's still the big homie. When the beat changes I feel like everything he's saying applies to joey. Kendrick also says get your bars up 4/7 or something like that
