I like Jay Williams story. Saw Jay Will come into the gym while he was working out before a game. Kept working out even after Jay Will was done, proceeded to drop buckets on his head and after the game told Jay, “I wanted you to know that no matter how hard you worked, I would still out work you.” This story goes so hard bro.
I haven't been able to watch any of them without crying. Tracy McGrady's and Shaq's interview just broke me even more. can't stand the fact that young children were killed too.
He's referring to an angle that supposedly shows the ball not being in Kobe's face. However, it got debunked. Matt Barnes even confirmed that he got it right in Kobe's eyes the man didn't even flinch at all.
@@Mariowhodat He's tryin' to tell you that the ball wasn't directly in front of Kobe's face, and it wasn't. However, MOST PEOPLE still would have made some type of movement...including Mr.Taylor.
Perkins has one of the best reactions to the Kobe tragedy I've seen. Taking this moment to focus on what we have in the present because we will never get back to the past and aren't guaranteed the future.
I'd say it's a combination of both, the part you referring to about everyone seeming closer is the reality that they face that while they are NBA players and while they have a lot of potential to grow and become stars that it does not exclude them from the reality of things, and that death is an appointment that can come at anytime anywhere, and unfortunately the passing of all the victims along with Kobe and his daughter was a harsh reminder of that fact, but in the same vein this also is going to breathe new life in terms of the competitiveness of the league people are going to play harder and want to be better certain beefs are things that were going on are sqaushed because ultimately in a nutshell while competition is what this game should be about it is important to remember that these things are very much temporary and once you walk off the court whatever legacy you left behind is what you will be judged by and in the case of Kobe he did just that, he left everything on the court and in life and now his example is paying dividends only accept he will never get to see it play out...r.i.p. to all lives lost...
Same feeling here. I still haven’t accepted he’s gone. Just like my father when he passed. When people tell these stories, brings a smile to my face, then it hits me that he’s gone. Kobe was a legend. My fav basketball player all time.
NanaBisa1 I shed tears for Kobe once, as soon as I found out. It was tears of admiring this guy my whole life, and he left this world. I didn’t worship Kobe, I admired him. He was a perfect example of hard work ethic. The man literally woke up every morning at 3am and hit the gym to perfect his craft. I admired his hard work and dedication. It all showed on the court. Probably the most triple teamed NBA player in history. There was no stopping Kobe. Nobody had an answer for Kobe.
Kobes passing has knocked down so many walls and settled so many beefs within the basketball community. It humbled everyone. Reminded them to not leave this earth with unsettled animosity with others.
ULTRA KWON yeah. Im guessing maybe they just show bad plays from guests on the norm and it probably felt natural to regular watchers? But yeah it was odd lmao.
This is how we suppose to remember Kobe man, happy and cheered up while we talk about him because as far as I remember, he is always smiling and for me that smile man, there is something about it, and it lightens me up everytime I see it. Kobe is love man. ❤
JAMMTV. I noticed his smile too. I noticed it on Vanessa which makes her more beautiful and their girls. Especially in the family photos. Everyone looks very happy not forced, if you recall Kobe and Vanessa have 2 teenage daughters. The family photos show love, unity, and they all have zing. Kobe did the talk and walked the walk. Wishing the family blessings and peacefulness.
I love Perk being a sports commentator. He always has great points and a unique point of view, great analysis and puts out such positive vibes and energy.
Im proud of Perk fr, him an Shaq are the only 2 guys so far that i've heard an seen them get the best lesson from Kobe's passing, appreciate everyone while we're on this earth. Leave no stone unturned, leave all thoughts on the table, and never be scared to tell your brothers you love em cause one day they wont be alive to say it back.
Kendrick Perkins had me rolling. Kobe could inspire other pro’s!!! I could listen to these feel-good stories for hours. Where’s more of these? I’ve been crying for 4 days straight. I want some fun stories now.
@@kabagemayannick5097 I didn't say it was a bad thing. I was just saying he just told the story 2 weeks ago and now Kobes gone, it still doesn't feel real to me, every night i go to sleep i wake up hoping this was a dream...smh
Kendrick Stories made me happy😇😇💯 Thank God for being able to smile and laugh. I have cried so much.Since this happened. Praying for all the families who lost their love ones.🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙌🙌🙌
This laugh was well needed in this time of grieving. That sounds like Kobe. Hugging a player that just beat him in the finals. Ego driven, highly charismatic, but he always had a heart to throw respect and credit where it deserves. That’s kobe. That’s why so many are affected by his loss man......😔🙏🏼
I still can't fully accept that he's gone, but to hear these moments of Kobe's life that make you smile and laugh, it's very cathartic. I hope more people share good stories like that.
*NEVER JUDGE A PLAYER BY THIER GAME* I never liked Perkins as a player (because he was a tough opposition) but this guy has a heart of his size. much respect & love. miss you Kobe.
I use to hate Perkins as a player when he was playing for the hated team but after this segment. I found him him in a whole new light and have a newfound respect for him.
Robert White Man I grew up in an old school environment where showing emotion was not masculine or whatever. As i progressively got older, and the more I showed love and affection, the happier I became and realized it doesn’t cost you anything to make others feel appreciated and loved. Sounds so simple, yet is so hard for many of us to overcome.
On EVERYTHING, PERK has an energy that needs to be shared w/the world! ENERGY DOESNT LIE! He has a genuine personality AND realness is missing out here...to piggyback on what he said: IT DONT TAKE NOTHIN for a man to tell another man "I like ya style"👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Kobe is changing hearts all over the place.. Move past the indifference and connect with as many people in your life as possible. Especially those who need to hear from you.
I love Perk man, he rep our hometown very well on TV, still got the accent, still got that BMT swag!! Ain't no hatin' from TX, give ppl they love while you can and while they here for you to do it...409 4 lyfe What up KP
Gotta respect Perk for showing love to everybody on set and saying that “it aint hard to show love” Much love everybody! I love y’all even tho i dont know u personally
About 7 yrs ago my son attended KDs basketball camp here in OKC. We got to meet Perks and he picked up my little guy he was about 2 at the time. He was so tall my son was scared to be so high off the ground ☺️... he’s such a great humble guy.
Better learn not to talk to me. You shake the tree, a leopard's gonna fall out. The last time I was intimidated was when I was 6 years old in karate class. … That was around the time I realized that intimidation didn't really exist if you're in the right frame of mind.-KOBE
Perk talking about Kobe bear hugging him, he said "secret service here is the president here, somebody bear hugged me, I thought I was about to sit down in the county for a little bit",🤣😂😭!
From LA, Laker fan since birth. Met Kobe on a few occasions. We saw the same movie when he was a rookie we were both on dates, we chopped it up about LA the whole night no basketball talk. Then the Lakers came to the school I taught at and we had to get on Kobe because he came up flossing on the kids. We told him these are neighborhood kids he has to come up there on the humble. He got what we were saying and low and behold one of those kids there that day was James Harden. Crazy. My grandma is the biggest Kobe fan ever. She is 94 and when Kobe got the key to the city she was front and center at the event. When they went to hang with the VIP people, my sister said "hey that's Kobe's grandmother." The let my grandmother kick it with Kobe she dropped her can and sprinted to the VIP section lol. I was never the biggest Kobe fan but I was just starting to really like him. Ain't that how it always happens. My cousin flies copters and he knew the pilot. My other cousin played in the mamba league Kobe hangs out with all the kids. It's like it's weird but this event touched many people in my life. I haven't watched basketball since. Lot of people on that copter, sad.
When my brother was murdered, I went through kinda what Perk was feeling. I had to say my feelings. Sure, I was freaking people out. But it felt better. It is a true man who is so strong and powerful but can show appreciation and affection and caring and love. I appreciate the honesty from Perkins.
