Kenji's current situation has made everyone aware of how fragile life and its loss can affect the others who love him. We tend to go through each day taking things for granted, expecting everything to be the same as yesterday. It is sad it takes something like this to bring out our love and appreciation that we should be giving each day of our lives. My heart aches and I pray all is well with Kenji.

Can NOT express how happy I am for you kids! You are living the dream I had 30 years ago! I pray for Kenji and know peace comes from above!

I was so concerned going into this video that you had a bad outcome from surgery; however, I am thrilled that he made it through surgery the way we all hoped and prayed he would (nobody more than you guys though)! We have an old dog that we are facing similar situations and conversations with, too. Tucker is our 13 year old black lab/Chesapeake Bay retriever and, although we admit we are biased, we think he truly is the “bestest boy in the whole world!” He picks up on my daughter’s seizures, he knows when my shunt isn’t working even before I start presenting issues (I’ve had approximately 150 surgeries since we got him as a pup). He knows about nearly 30 commands. Our Tucker boy is the most gentle, calm, dependable, loving, loyal dog we could have ever asked for and he truly exceeded everything we had hoped he would be. All that to say, the idea of having to say goodbye is devastating for us. My heart aches just thinking about it but we know we are on borrowed time because he is already older than the age range for his breed. You guys remain in my prayers because, in spite of the wonderful blessing you received of gaining some extra time with him, you still have a tough road ahead. Hang out j there and remain strong! I almost expected to see furniture being moved in! I am so glad for Kenji! I had a similar thing happen to my little Daisy, she was much younger, and she was so much more special when she came back to us. You did the right thing.
