I don’t know I’m giving Kevin the side eye defending this rich pastors the use the gospel to become rich, makes me feel we would do the same if he could. Pastora don’t have to broke but they have to live modestly and help the community, that pastor’s attitude acted like he was above the regular people this behavior is nothing Christ like bit Kevin defends him because he would do the same, he acts like he is a better Christian then Doboy but mmmm 👀
It’s very interesting to watch Kev’s evolution from church kid/youth pastor/preachers can do no wrong to “we’re working out our own salvation”. He was def still upholding the system here. Can’t talk down on the preacher no matter how bad it looks.
Hold up! We can admit that NOT all pastors or church leaders are corrupt but we're not going to pretend that there aren't gross abusers of the system. Do was right and Kevin, because of his background in church, tried to make it sound good.
Honestly even in the last episode doboy was making some solid points but kev was shutting it down. Theres no reason a pastor should have a private jet or 6 thousand dollar shoes because that is vain which goes against what jesus stood for.
I feel like Kev deflecting he was dead ass wrong. Address the topic at hand which was the creepy pastor dude. Don’t start bringing up all this hoopla bs
The reason Kev NEVER has a problem with these crooked pastors, is because he'd be the exact same! He is VERY materialistic! Constantly bragging about flying 1st class, about having a Maserati etc....ok sir you have money now, we don't need to repeatedly hear about it....it was funny a little in beginning, but now he just comes off as up himself
There’s a lot of comments in here going at Kev for his viewpoints. While I don’t agree with a some of what Kev said, we can’t just sit here and act like Do’s viewpoint is completely healthy. No hate, but if something that happened to you 20 years ago is still holding you captive like that, you gotta reevaluate some things. At this point it sounds more like he’s taking any opportunity to justify not going through the healing process. He has some really strong points for sure, and I’m not saying his experiences and wounds aren’t valid because they are. But at some point you gotta deal with that and allow yourself to go through the healing process.
Many points to make: -these pastors who are doing the bad NEED to be held accountable and even humbled to learn what it means to be a servant because we are NOT greater than the master which is Yeshua and if He went and served and dealt with the demonic and set ppl free, we should too. -There are so many churches that are losing money because ppl don’t want to tithe or give offering etc because yeah these churches do have to upkeep. - you are 100% responsible for your own salvation. Stop IDOLIZING people. They’re just vessels who are equally human(see point 1) and God will deal with them accordingly weather this life or the next. There’s always consequences. -you do need a sound doctrine community to keep yourself and your brethren accountable, to encourage each other, to raise the youth and more. We are one body. Remember Christ’s prayer to the Father: that we may all be one ☝🏽 like He and Abba are One. That means across denominations, Catholics, Orthodox, Protestant-we are ONE and lean off of each other and work to bring the Kingdom of Adonai to earth until He comes again God bless 💕
*I used to think and be just like DoBoy when it came to church and preachers, UNTIL my beautiful Mother simply told me “Your problem is your going to church focused on the preacher who’s speaking The Word Of God, when you need to be focused on The Word Of God and not the preacher”🙌🏾*
People cant comprehend that a pastor or a preist cant get you on that one on one relationship with the lord. In the bible it states the body is the temple of god, takes a one on one relationship with the lord no one comes between you and the father.
The more i watch R&R, the more i see Do folding on his views even though he has valid points. He gets drowned out by Kev and Josh always sucking up to Kev would be the nail in the coffin. Do is definitely confident as weve seen in other podcasts but certain people challenging him makes him fold. Josh still annoying af always backing Kev up
Trevor blew up on all the clout he got hanging around blacks. If yall didn't see that coming, I don't know what to tell you. It wasn't about work ethic
Hearing KOS take on grace/redemption makes him sound slightly skep considering he may have not given DoBoy this same "grace" that he's so steadfast for during this POD. This speaks to DoBoy's point, when you have expectations for someone and they violate your trust and or respect, it makes you look at them different....hence putting distance there e.g. something happened between KOS and DoBoy, someone felt disrespected or trust was damaged, therefore distance was placed between the two. grace should be given too all, but there's a breaking point and judgement shouldn't be rendered once someone reaches their breaking point.
Kev & Do had solid points.. we do be like "this happened so I don't go to church no more" like, damn, u not gonna find another? But I also agree with Do about perception.. Leviticus was solely dedicated to ordained priests.. there is a way they should present themselves regardless of their financial status because they rep God.. he was SUPPOSED to be in coach ministering, winning souls for God.
Great points overall, but one thing I wanna address. Leviticus was solely dedicated to THAT ordained priesthood. Aka the Levitical Priests. If you aren’t a Levite and part of the Levitical Priesthood then the ceremonial and sacrificial laws in Leviticus do not apply to you. There are several passages in The New Testament that do apply to modern day priests and preachers though!
Kev is right the MAJORITY of pastors are not making money from that and have a FULL TIME JOB. My pastor does and hasn't taken a paycheck in over 3 years. Small churches do what they can
Kev definitely wrong pastor should set example for the followers big churches take tithes and offerings to pay for personal things athey a sheeps in wolves clothes and they’re teaching a false gospel they’re gonna have a lot of blood on there hands during judgment day
I know this is on but at 11:18 what doboy is saying I’ve heard before, I can’t remember the scripture used but there was a situation at my church where basically a sister had a coat that was nice and to some flashy and it became a thing and when it was brought to her she mentioned this scripture basically saying she represents god the most high and as such she represents her as such she could afford what it was and to dress nice or purchase certain things can be a touchy thing in the church especially with pastors but that’s just a perspective
The difference is, Drake was claiming he's the best rapper alive.. Cardi, NWA, etc never said that. The best rapper alive would be writing his own bars 🙂 Also, Quentin Miller can RAP. Drake stole everything from the reference track -- even when he breathes lmfao
This discussion about pastors, is why I loved R&R and is what R&R was all about in the beginning. Sometimes heated debates. Then Doboy's dna test and so on. Yall made great content together. Hope yall work it out one day 💪🏾
“I don’t need writers, I might bounce ideas, but only I could come up with some s**t like this.” Kanye unlike a lot of people gives credit to anyone who contributes. It’s just like comedians tagging jokes. Or saying slow down here, change the inflection there, use this word instead. Etc etc. If you’re a wordsmith type like Rae ,Ghost, black thought, Rakim, etc then yes you need to write your own. Otherwise as long as it’s your story that’s all that matters regardless of who puts it on paper.
