Certainly not self-deprecating. Definitely not shy with the ego saying things like "I nailed that solo" etc. 😳 Not that I would want false humility either, but let the accolades come from others (not yourself) and just say "thank you."

So here’s what I’ve learned today: The world picks on Kenny G because, for the most part, we’re innately bullies. Kenny is important, and remains relevant because of his massive talent, and for better or worse (better maybe), he maintains a beta personality that surfaces when he over exerts himself trying to be cool for people like Bill, and allows everyone of us that consumes him (who he’ll never meet) to make jokes about him while still enjoying his talent. I think we should like him for his talent, and love him because he needs it. Or because we want to, likely the same reason.

Hands down, this is one of my all-time fave Club Random episodes. What's NOT to like about Kenny G, as both a world-class musician and human being ??! As a former alto saxophone player, Kenny G is one of my modern sax "idols", and I've considered learning Soprano sax because of his beautiful melodies and solos (and I started on clarinet, so it might even be a more "natural fit" for me than Alto, due to the way it's played, as well as its smaller size & lighter weight). He's truly "MADE SAX GREAT AGAIN" ! 😉🤣

Love your shows, Bill. I have always loved Kenny G....he is such a wonderful Soul and the most talented Sax player of all time. I feel I really got to know him in the show....wonderful. Thanks so much for having him. 💗💘💗🎷🎷🎷🎶. I'm going to put some of his music on NOW.

BILL!!! What a great interview! I know you said once that you don’t read these comments but maybe the person you have read them will tell you how enjoyable this was. Kenny G is such a nice, down to earth guy. He brought out the sweetest in you. (Just hated the interview with Sharon Osborne with you because you came across as this swearing, tough guy.) Loved seeing you behind the bar too!!!

What a great show! I wasn't a huge fan of his music, but I love how open and honest Kenny is .

In China, they do play Kenny G's "Going Home" at night everywhere... even if you're still eating at a restaurant. The crew is there putting up the chairs and rolling out the floor polisher. It ain't subtle.

Going Home is my favourite Kenny G song. This chat could have been twice as long.

What a beautiful soul Kenny G is, he even talked about his kids, I sensed Bill being uneasy cause a guest talked more than Bill.

I wasn't too thrilled seeing that Kenny G was the guest, but damn, was he really good. Great conversation with Bill!

What a nice guy!! I always liked his music, not rabid about it or anything but if I want to relax it works for me. He's been on a couple of late-night shows but nothing that showed his personality and he has a good one and doesn't take himself so seriously. No "star" attitude.
