Lyrics:
Christopher Robin and I walked along
Under branches lit up by the moon
Posing our questions to Owl and Eeyore
As our days disappeared all too soon
But I've wandered much further today than I should
And I can't seem to find my way back to the wood, so
Help me if you can, I've got to get
Back to the house at Pooh Corner by one
You'd be surprised there's so much to be done
Count all the bees in the hive
Chase all the clouds from the sky (chase the clouds away)
Back to the days of Christopher Robin and Pooh
Winnie the Pooh doesn't know what to do
Got a hunny jar stuck on his nose
He came to me asking help and advice
From here no one knows where he goes
So I sent him to ask of the Owl if he's there
How to loosen a jar from the nose of a bear
Help me if you can, I've got to get
Back to the house at Pooh Corner by one
You'd be surprised there's so much to be done
Count all the bees in the hive
Chase all the clouds from the sky (chase the clouds away)
Back to the days of Christopher Robin and Pooh
It's hard to explain how a few precious things
Seem to follow throughout all our lives
After all said and done I was watching my son
Sleeping there with my bear by his side
So I tucked him, I kissed him
And as I was going
I swear that old bear
Whispered, boy welcome home
Believe me if you can I've finally come
Back to the house at Pooh Corner by one
What do you know, there's so much to be done
Count all the bees in the hive
Chase all the clouds from the sky (chase the clouds away)
Back to the days of Christopher Robin (back to the days)
Back to the ways of Christopher Robin (back to the ways)
Back to the days of Pooh

I would think that you cry when listening to this song because it brings up so many different emotions. I like to think of tears as what comes out when our emotional cup overflows - happiness, sadness, nostalgia...in this case, it's probably that you are experiencing general nostalgia, plus happiness that you were adopted and being given so much love, and possibly also being reminded of the love you might have been missing prior to being adopted (don't know your experience, just going off of what can sometimes be the case with adoption). That's a lot of emotions, add in that you are now having your own baby, that I assume you are keeping, and all of the emotions that come with that...I'm not remotely surprised that the song brings tears to your eyes.

And it was her favorite song and sang at age 3 1/2. Thank you Kenny for giving such joy to a child battling brain cancer. Mr. Kenneth Clark Loggins ....Thank you for penning one of the Sweetest Songs that would stand the Test of Time .... ( am a long-time fan ,since 1972,I was a Senior in High School)...and many years later ...( in my 30's)...I would be playing this Song for my 2 daughters.... I still get teary eyed ... remembering those fleeting days of when they were small and now are Grown women in thier mid/ late 30's themselves...... it seems as only a few Years ago that we were listening to this, softly singing along .... the Cherished Memories of that are as vivid as the times it occurred.... I am not sure if you realize how many Hearts, Lives, Minds and Souls you touched with this beautiful Song, written by you at a tender 17 years of Age .....then again... you very well may know.... Infinite Spirit Blessed you with such Talents... in order that you would Bless others . ✨️💫

When I was 16 my best friend and I housesat a house and played this record constantly. That was 50 years ago. My friend died some years ago. I hadn’t heard this song in many many years. It popped up while scrolling and I can’t stop crying. Reading the comments here it seems this song has a lot of meaning for a lot of people and makes a lot of us cry.

This brought me to tears. Instead of a song, I painted a watercolor and ink picture of pooh's corner, with Christopher Robin as part of Mr. Sanders' tree. It was for my kids. I wanted to share the magic with them too.

Puff the Magic Dragon, came , courtesy of Captain kangaroo along with the inchworm both of those songs would make me cry when I was a little girl and then my mom got the Peter and Mary album that had puff on it, and I still cried when I heard it. The inchworm I didn’t hear anymore after the captain. But then along came the 70s high school in college in the war all that stuff and there was this amazing gentle song Pooh Corner read the stories to my little brother. His Pooh color forms were his favorite things, he’s slept in blanket sleepers With Winnie the Pooh on them. And it was such a beautiful song and I played it for him and he like that and rubber ducky and in our house because his name was Scott was Bobby Goldboughs watching Scotty grow. I asked my boyfriend who was going to become my husband but I didn’t know it yet. If you want to give me something for Christmas I’d like to see Kenny Loggins well it took him a little while to get that promise taken care of but I did get to see you and certainly there were several times during that evening that you made me cry. One night when you were in the Chicago area stopped in the bar after the performance and my sister-in-law served you. And she asked you for a favor something she is never allowed to do but she did it for me. She asked you to sign your name for me. She said it has to say to Barbara Jane because that is the way that she’ll know that it really happened, about three days ago I was just talking about it with my homemaker. Said if I could get into that spare room and one of those boxes that has a flowered hop on. It is an autograph of Kenny Loggins their sister-in-law about me almost 40 years ago. Lots of things have happened since those days we’re not married anymore. The children were sang to whether they were sick, over exhausted, who had just had bad dreams. Are now all grown up when is married with two children the other has chosen not to marry. I have never met my granddaughters. I wish that I could say that I had, and I had had the opportunity when they were babies to sing to them just the same way I said to their mother and I don’t think Mr. Owl to be able to figure all of that out. Thank you for a wonderful concert. Almost it is it’s over 40 years ago and the gift of an autograph about 10 years later and for having this on RU-vid so that I just happen to be scrolling tonight and came upon the video. Thank you for bringing back things that when they were good they were very very good. There’s other side of that but we won’t talk about it tonight. Thank you again enjoy a much earned retirement and how many people would still be waiting for you at Pooh Corner.

I have seen Kenny Loggins several times, whenever he comes to the Toronto Canada. I was 22 when I fell in love with his music and I still have my Vinyl, Cassettes and CD’s. I always cry listening to this song. He touches your Heart like no other Artist. I saw him just weeks ago, his Final Tour at the age of 75. I had so many memories flooding through that I cried during most of the concert. Each one of his Brilliant songs has a Story to me and my family. Like This Is It, my grandmother was on life support and I had to drive 3 hours to say goodbye to her. I had this song on repeat, hoping that my grandmother would survive. Sadly I said my good bye as her eldest granddaughter and watched as they pulled the plug on her. I will never forget how each song has touched my Heart. Thank you Kenny Loggins for being such a brilliant songwriter and musician. Thank you for all the memories. I wish you the best in your next endeavour. Much Love Donna Marie, Toronto Canada , your Biggest Fan ❤

When my mom was pregnant with me in 1997, she sang this song almost every day to calm me down whenever I was stirring around too much. Then, when I was born and screaming my head off, while being surrounded by this whole group of doctors, my mom sang this song to me again. And then, according to her, I quieted right down, and every single doctor in that room just fell silent and was completely shocked. So, needless to say, this song is truly magical and has played an important part in my childhood. And, to this day, I still love it.

What a wonderful song -- I was 12 when it was first released, and 35 when it was re-released as "Return to Pooh Corner" (this version), and I had a 6 year old and a 2 year old by then. This is a magical song, it will stand the test of time. Any parent who listens to it, whether in 1994 when it was re-released, today, or in years to come, will find significant meaning and wonder in its message. (Side note: I inherited my mother's original collection of A.A. Milne books, including "House at Pooh Corner" and "Winnie the Pooh," as well as the poetry books "When We Were Young" and "When We Were Six," from the 1930s. Those were simpler times, but they are still worth reading to your children -- as I do to my grandchildren.)

KL: "Danger Zone How about a smooth track for cruising to the golf course? KL: "I"m Alright" OK, wow. Well I bet you can't make a kid's song so sweet that it moves adults to tears?! I met Kenny with my daughters at his Cleveland Ohio concert in 97 I believe. My daughters were 5 & 7 years old. We were up in the front rows. It also was when his Unimaginable Life book released, and if you bought the book at the concert, you were given a backstage pass for the book signing...and so we did. My youngest daughter had her Winnie The Pooh bear with her, and as our turn came up to greet Kenny, she threw her Pooh bear at him, and with her tiny hands on her hips she demanded "sign my Pooh bear"!!! Yes, this mom was mortified, but Kenny was so great with her, and told her, "I can't resist". And so together with his manager, Kenny signed Pooh Bear's red shirt, and she still has it ....22 years later! He is a magnificent person!

When he got to the gate where the parking was for the staff he just told him I was there to help him..they waived us in..I sat in a folding chair provided by security next the stage...when he would get sweaty his hair would fling around and I would his sweat on me. I was going through some difficult things in my life at that time and it was wonderful to just listen to the music. This was in Santa Cruz, CA.
