World is so connected......I-was so fortunate to be adopted by a beautiful woman in 1963, at 5 she started to introduce me to BJ Thomas, Elvis, Englebert, Tom Jones, Kenny Rogers. In my forties I had a small part in a Movie with Dennis Hopper. In the make up trailer I was sharing with the girls how KEWL it was to be on set with history “ Easy Rider”, during that conversation I shared another highlight was seeing BJ and Kenny Rogers in Las Vegas. At that time the woman working on my hair and face turned my seat around and introduced me to CHIEF, aka Dennis Hopper. Mr. Hopper let me know he knew both BJ and Kenny and in fact it would be a highlight for anyone. My mother had passed and it made me feel I belonged.....Long winded but just wanted to share. Stay safe🙏🏻❤️ so many wonderful people in this world.
I just found this interview you did with BJ. What a fantastic interview!! It broke my heart as I watched it to know that he wouldn't live long enough to go back out and sing after staying indoors safe during the pandemic! BJ was one of my early teenage years' crushes. I bought his records and listened to him always. I saw the Kenny Rogers Show on RU-vid you mentioned where they sang two songs together...just beautiful!! Thanks for sharing this intervie.
So sad to learn of BJs passing. He was one of a kind with a very distinctive voice who topped the country and pop charts for 2 decades. Few artists can make that claim.
I saw both of them at the same concert in the early 80s. Was fabulous! They are both singing in heaven now, and never be forgotten. RIP Kenny and B.J. Both are true legends!!
I love, love ,love BJ Thomas. Always have & always will. I’m hooked on my feeling about BJ👍❤️ Thank you for all the beautiful songs & sharing your beautiful voice with all of us. God Bless you always.🙏✝️
BJ Thomas and the Triumphs played Riverside Hall in East Bernard Tx, Swiss Alp hall in Fayette county Tx as well as Fayette county Fairgrounds in Lagrange Tx. BJ has been a favorite in the south East Texas dance Hall for years. Always enjoyed his music since the 60’s. Thanks BJ!!
