It's so interesting to see how much different parks were, there's a certain charm that no modern park can replicate and probably couldn't if they tried
Man... Knoebels looks like such a lovely park. I would absolutely visit if I had the chance to. Honestly, the old-timey music from the organ and carousel made me want to play Roller Coaster Tycoon or something XD
They did my dude Kenny dirty for going on by himself 😂, Such a trooper and a champ, and great to see some Love for Knoebels. Also the pirate shooter was my favorite
Looks like a great day ! Lots of fun. I think I heard a Kookaburra at the end of the haunted mansion which was funny as they aren’t particularly haunted birds haha. Great video !
Love this. I always thought I was misremembering that theater thing. I remember doing it at Dorney as a kid but have seen at Knoebels as an adult. I’m glad I’m not making it up in my head. Ha! I just love this park so much!
it is a tradition for me to go to the museum part (annoying whoever i go with) and my favorite part was always seeing the bears! I don't know what about those ripoff disney bears i loved but ive always been obsessed with them. I always had to get picture with them. nobody ive every gone with cares about these bears, in fact most of my friends and family found them scary but let me tell you my shock and disappointment when they were gone last year. I literally called my mom and was like "my sons are gone! someone stole my kids!!" everyone i was with was like "will you let the bears go" and i spent the rest of the trip being like "they took away my bear boys! how dare!" but im glad they are hopefully being stored well and maybe once day i'll get to see my bear boys again!
#kennydontknowknoebels What was your favorite food there? The ice cream at the mill is a must, but I also very much enjoyed the fish sandwich in the pavilion next to the Phoenix. Also, low-key glad I didn’t have to hear the antique cars.
#kennydontknowknoebles is there a way to show us the oldest rides first and work your way to the newer ones. I'm very fascinated buy how they were able to adapt to modern tastes to stay in business.
The oldest thing in the park is actually the pool. But one of Knoebels specialties is older rides. The have multiple old time rides that they keep in top notch shape. How the park stays in business.. they do a multiple of things that no other park does or has, making it one of a kind park you truly have to experience for yourself
And it’s not the full story. I first went to it and only had a $5 bill. The machine only took $1 bills. I went to the restaurant right next to it and they couldn’t open the register to exchange the 5. Then we rode a ride. I got off the ride and had to walk to a ticket window where they could exchange the 5 for singles. I got back to the machine to find out it didn’t work at all…
#KennyDontKnowKnoebels I've been to Knoebels so many times - have you ever gotten the brass ring? It evades me to this day. Also Kenny, what did you think of Black Diamond? I feel like it's the best of both worlds between roller coaster and dark ride. (Fun fact if Dan didn't already tell you, it started out life at Morey's Piers in Wildwood NJ! Though not as a cool dark ride, just an average coaster. The Centralia portion makes it for me.)
@ElyseExplosion - fun fact - I don’t remember getting it myself either, but my daughter (diva that she can be sometimes) of course got it on her first try.
#kennydontknowknoebels How old were some of those tickets used at the park? How does Knoebels make enough money for the upkeep of the park. Definitely not complaining about the price, but I’m definitely curious as to how they make a profit.
I feel like most of the scariness is missing when you’re an adult who just goes on it. It’s much scarier when you’re a child who’s been CAJOLED onto it by a trusted adult
why would you push this curse on me? I could probably eat like 4 in one sitting comfortably. BUT if I was really trying - 1 a hour for like 12-14 hours.
#KennydontknowKnoebels Did you ride Flying Turns & Phoenix? If not Dan and Ben need to be arrested 👮♂👮♀🚔ASAP for not persuading you to ride those classic gems.
Regrets, I've had a few. Also some regerts, but I don't want to talk about those. The first regret is not choosing a career that would allow me to afford an EV. Stupid teaching degree. Stupid wanting to help the future generations. Big mistake. Big.
