No. Those do not open during Holiday Lights.

No. Kennywood probably has the worst winter event in the region for parks that are actually open. As much as I adore Lakemont Park the "actually open" is a jab at their drive through. Won't dunk on it too much though as I know that event pays for the awesome summer season with 2 incredible classic woodies and a supporting cast of traditionally upcharge attractions being part of the wristband.

yeah firing Canada was the start, but now Pickett got to show his skill or he’s gonna be living under a bridge next to Kennywood soon with that kangaroo with his name.

From what I’ve been told, Kennywood does not want this to be a thrill event. They want it to be more of a family event. That’s why we don’t see coasters like Steel Curtain and Phantom’s Revenge open. It also includes the factor that they cannot run in cold temperatures, hence why Jack Rabbit and Spinvasion had to close last night an hour after opening. Phantom couldn’t run at all, it would end up valleying before the final bunny hills. I could maybe see Sky Rocket work for Holiday Lights, but even that can’t run in the cold.

I always hope every year Exterminator would be added to the roster. I totally get the reasoning behind deterring other more... Monitor necessary age markets, I felt for the most part it is spot on for Cedar Fair parks that did the same. The problem with Kennywood is not having the huge ride rosters of running rides the competition has. I think Exterminator would be enough to sell the price point more without sacrificing the experience, and I would love... LOVE to see it decked out in winter holiday cheer in that haunted spinning sewer😂😂😂

I am making a video behind the real reason on why Exterminator will not operate ever during Holiday Lights, so stay tuned! It’s definitely something that is overlooked a lot.

@@aaronschatzman6645 The building wasn't built to keep winter out like say, Laff Trakk was from what I understand. But that shouldn't be a reason to not operate it, I mean Wild Mouse at Hersheypark can run and I don't see how they're that different if outside. I guess I could see something with the spinning mechanism though. The regular season theme isn't a family theme but it's a family coaster with a different theme. A "festive steel mill" would be a pretty easy and appropriate overlay with the que theming and limited use in the on ride theming elements (it would use the straight track fake out though because it could build on the steel mill idea). Just imagine having that and Whip and a skating rink over the Plunge to anchor the area for Holiday Lights.
