First time a totally disagree buddy. He needs to be in North America ASAP for his development. He would be project #1 in Laval , get all the ice time and coaching he needs as well as get acclimated with the small ice and system. Actualy i would like to see him in Laval right now, away from the mess over there.

Demidov isn't under contract with the Canadiens. He's under contract with SKA St. Petersburg until the end of the 2024-25 season. The Canadiens have no say here.

I think that coming to North American doesn’t necessarily mean the habs, it probably means Laval and I don’t think lavals that much of a step up from the KHL. I also think that if demidov doesn’t get opportunity with SKA then why would we want him to stay there an extra year

SKA is fully aware that Demidov does not wish to sign a contract extension in Russia. MTL needs to sweet talk SKA in order to convinced them to release him. Molson open those deep pockets of yours.

Guys, pls stop daying the Habd shoulf buy out the contract... They are not allowed to. If they try to give Demidov the money, and he pays, just dont get caught. Part of the rules between NHL & KHL... And if something happens, they can hood him longer. By i trust they know what they are doing.
@paulbarham1038

What you say makes sense. Montreal should not rush him. A couple of years in the KHL will probably be a good step up, then maybe a year down playing with Laval...see how he progresses at those levels of play. Kent Hughes has done a good job of rebuilding the Canadiens. I expect he will continue to do so.

The idea of him going back for a second season in the KHL seems a bit off. Who says that after one year of being not used properly him going back for another (with still the plan to transition to the NHL) he will be used properly in year 2? I think as soon as it’s possible he should be in the Canadiens system

I've reached 1:29 in your podcast, So..... as a member of the collective Montreal Fans then ... you're not going to need another top 5 draft pick. You guys, being les Habs fans, are collectively satisfied with Demidov. You won't need another top 5 draft pick for at least a number of years to come. Thanks and please No more Montreal whining.
