Although I own at least eleven pretty good handheld scanners and tranceivers, unfortunately I do not have one as brillient as this kenwood handheld tranceiver. This looks like an easy to program radio and I love the white buttons as they make it easier to see what button your going to use next.Anyway watching this video has certain'ly taught me a lot more about programing a radio. Great video.
I final got my hands on one and just love it. small size but great performance. I did get it to do the priority scan i was asking about too. thanks for your help earlier
+MiniSix8 Hey man, you're welcome and I'm glad you got one and like it! I'm happy that you found my videos useful and I'll upload more about this radio and others in the future.
Thankful that someone did a video on this radio finally. If you could do a video on how to program this radio off the computer as we'll that would be great
Thank you for this video. I just purchased this radio. I am having a problem with programming it. I have an offset of .66 for the repeater I need to access. is it possible to manually put in that repeater frequency?
+Tracy Cadorette I don't believe there is a Pri function. I looked and the manual says their is one but I guess it's for a different version of the radio.
I am having trouble figuring out a most likely basic function of trying to delete a already programmed channel. Something you can help with? Thanks in advance
Also is this radio narrowbandable? Im a police officer and wouldn't mind picking this radio up as a little back up if it indeed works on the new FCC regulations.
Can you scan 2 frequency with that radio? I'm thinking if you are in MR mode and press and hold the call button it should??and if you can do that can you Lock the radio while it is scanning??? Thanks VA3TXN
+MiniSix8 Hey, I'm not sure if you can, I'll have to give it a try later today. When you lock the radio the only buttons that are unlocked are the PTT button and the power/volume knob. I assume that it will still scan.
+MiniSix8 I'm uploading a video response to your question now. Please check it out when you have a few minutes and tell me what you think. Thanks! KC1CWP
