Kenwood TS130S Ham Radio Transceiver Bench Test..... 

That’s my radio. Had it on our sailboat for a few years, and now at our property. Love it!

My grandfather had one of these. I inherited it and just replaced the capacitors. Works like new!

I still have my TS120V that I bought new back in 1980, it badly needs a tune up. That station on 7.178 Mhz is Larry KH0I (Kilo Hotel Zero India) He is a ham in Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands in the North Pacific (US Territory north of Guam). He is on that frequency most nights promoting their local language 'Chamorro'.

These are great little radios, bought my first 120V sometimes in the 1980s, that's long gone. But nowadays i still have a 130V and a 130S and won't miss it. The 130S is my holiday/mobile radio, decent metal case, almost indestructible , deals just fine with unstable battery voltage, moisture and heat, The receiver is pretty good for what it is, even on a good antenna. There are many of these computerized plastic radios which don't even get close. Ok, it's pretty heavy and old fashioned, but for me, it's still the best fit for purpose. My 130V is hardly used, it only drives my 50MHz transverter.
