@@jamescaliendo1030 The K220 is optimised to run with the Cummins X15 Euro 6 and Euro 5 engines. The Paccar motor is no doubt an option but most go for the Cummins since the demise of CAT her in Australia. Detroit used to be an option but Daimler got a bit prescious a few years back. I've asked KW for more detailed specs and will pass them on when they come to hand.
@@truckinwithkermie2755 ok ok.. yes same here in the states.. we lost Cat in "10 and it's been a majority of Cummins. The Paccar just doesn't compare at 13 liter to the Cummins 15
They're actually made here in the US. Even the aussie trucks. But they're not available for purchase in the US which is bullshit if you ask me.....lol.
So there is no more K200? So I'm guessing this is the replacement. I noticed how the roof is different with the arrow dyne. I see it gives more headroom! That truck is freaking amazing! If they made it in a left hand drive, I would have my order in for the US today. Now I do prefer the windows up top! Plus I like the older grill better with the bars. Overall she's a beauty!!!!
I wish they would. I feel that there is still a need for this truck here in America. Hell New York needs this truck bad as ever. All those type turns and little streets lol. I would definitely by me one with no hesitation.
They do make left-hand drive. The dealers did not want to market them in the US. Had one on display in Calif, but were pushed aside for the long hood that we can't get around in.
Love the new design and suck a good change up on the interior from her older sisters are they still keeping the king of KW the T909 and are they going to build a new king KW
They seem to believe that the desire for a cabover in thee US is not big enough to warrant producing it there and the truck is not designed to be coveted to left hand drive
The auto version, no problems as the 'shifter' is on the dash. In the manual its either standing on the driver's seat or coming in through the passenger side. Not ideal mate.
Killed the interior man. Absoloutley wrecked the k1, k2 series. Ugly interior, ugly grill, ugly aerodyne roof. They killed the kenworth. Get rid of the 220 and bring back the 108s
