My daughter is 10 and literally the only child in her class and entire dance company that does not have a phone...she has her books..and ZERO drama or self doubt in her life. This year there have been so many problems with bullying through group chats its crazy. There parents will swear they know what their child is doing on the phone but obviously you do not. Think of how an adult can lie and hide crap on the phone. Now you don't think these kids can hide messages??? There is no reason my daughter needs a phone and I will not be pressured into giving her one.
It hurt my heart to hear about Angie Bofil. I used to play her album all the time as a teen. I think I actually played the words off the song "I Try" because I would listen to it over and over. Rest in peace, queen.

Warning labels don’t really do anything. Parents need to parent. There are warning labels on tobacco and alcohol and folks still choose to die by them.
Thank God, I don’t have to deal with this issue. I feel for parents who do. My daughter was good and grown before this wave really got going. I don’t have grands. I’m only on two social media platforms and one of them I really don’t use that much. And you can’t even say it’s only an issue with young people because I know some older people that just can’t stay off social media.

Adults who choose quality content, as opposed to thrashy videos, should have a display rating available for them. Adults deserve the opportunity to "choose quality content viewing" and children/teens NEED parental protection options (ratings) available for extreme content.
