*For people arguing over the types of samosas:* *Potatoes and peas filling, mung bean filling = mostly Indian* *Lamb filling = mostly Pakistani* *Beef Filling = mostly Kenyan* Add more if your know :)
@@moah9885 i've never tried it with tortillas but it works pretty well with eggroll wrappers. you fold it like in that viral til tok wrapper thing and pinch together the open end with your fingers or a fork
my mom used to work with an African lady at her job and whenever they did cookouts for the job she would make these and when I tell you this is the most delicious food in the world. I would always come back for more. you guys should really try to make it.. you wont be disappointed at the result. lolll
Made this with my family for Kuumba 2018 (6th day of Kwanzaa) we all loved the deliciousness that the lime added to the beef flavor. We appreciate the video bc it helps us get better in touch with our Afrikan roots. Thanks ladies!
This is how we make in Pakistan .. we ladies sit together and prepare samosas ... and we make them on every occasion and get together or in Ramadan ❤❤❤❤
Oh my goodness that looks spectacular! Thank you for sharing your families favorite little snack with us. I get a kick out of what families love to eat from other countries. Makes me feel apart of the experience.
Man I wish I could eat or make these right now! They look so delicious, I'm drooling! unfortunately I live in Mumbai and beef is banned here. Kenya you got a fan!
I used to live in the Western Highlands of Kenya. We would travel to Kisumu often to shop, and would have lunch at the “Tot”, or “Talk Of the Town” restaurant. They made the best mutton Samosa. They were served with small chips. The best I have ever had! I love Kenya! Asante!
I was looking for samosa recipe, and came across this nifty little sambosa recipe- absolutely delicious!! Especially with the lime- will definitely be making again! Changed it just a smidgen with finely chopped baby carrots instead of peas(didn't have any!), and used scotch bonnet pepper instead of jalapeño- scrumptious!! Thanks! :)
Goodness, I was edging for some traditional African recipes after watching Black Panther, but this also adds to my theroy on how African foods and Asian foods are connected.
Jason Frost what's wrong with expressing words?? It's not like the person means that or is saying that wakanda is a real place. He/She is just expressing his love for Black Panther, it's very inspiring because the movie empowers Africans and African-Americans. What's so wrong about that?? Let ppl what they want to say, it's not like it's a crime. He/She is just following new trendy phrases from a movie, and that makes you fall back on trends. Now shut up becuz Black Panther is amazing.
Nyan Quake it’s not that. It’s just that not everything has to do with a fictional movie. (I get it. It’s very inspirational and all), but we as an African person that shit gets mad annoying. It’s not like as Africans we go around looking at everyone saying. “Uganda forever”, or “Kenyan strong”. Every time we see another Black person documenting something they do. (Not everything needs to be hyped basically)
My mum makes the samosas with the exact same recipe except with mutton and not beef during Ramadan and I’m Indian.Vegetarian samosas are an everyday snack here.Funny how food brings the world closer.
