I love your videos. How long do you boil the maize and beands for piror to adding them in?

Hi, it totally depends on the drying conditions of your pulses and grains. If you are using a pressure cooker about 40 - 50 minutes. If using a ordinary sauce pans then this can take somewhere from two hours on wards. Bear in mind that the quantity also dictates how long it will take to complete;y cook them through.

Yes you can. It'll bring in a sourness that will compliment the dish. Personally, I'd squeeze in the lemon after I'm done cooking

That looks like Swiss Chard, not Spinach. However, it looks really yummy. I ate lots of this stuff while in Masaku :)

+Kivuva Elizabeth I used the butter for a richer taste, I love the aroma that results from cooking food using it. It's totally optional.

Isorait, each to their own. Hiyo maji ndio watu wengine kwa familia yangu wanapenda. I showcase what I do and from there someone picks up what they like and moves on. And, I clearly explained "hiyo maji yote" as you're calling it kwa video, so "shrugs"
