Kenyans Evans Chebet and Peres Jepchirchir were the respective men's and women's winners at the Valencia Marathon in Spain on Sunday - both setting new course records.
Chebet outsprinted compatriot Lawrence Cherono in the final metres to win the men's race in two hours and three minutes.
That season's best for Chebet knocked 51 seconds off the previous course record, which had been set by 2019 race winner Kinde Atanaw of Ethiopia.
Cherono had to settle for second place, four seconds off the pace, while Ethiopian Birhanu Legese claimed third.
Jepchirchir crossed the line in two hours, 17 minutes and 16 seconds.
That time was one minute and 14 seconds faster than the previous women's course record, which Ethiopia's Roza Dereje set in last year's race.
Joyciline Jepkosgei of Kenya and Namibia's Helalia Johannes completed the women's podium.
