What was the worst part of the whole process? What was suprisingly easy/non-scary about the process? (You don't have to do into super detail) What was the overall price on the whole procedure? Based off your experience, when would you be allowed to go back and work on a computer for 8 hours/day after the procedure? thank you for doing this!

Quick Update: I have recorded my responses to a majority of the questions and am working linking them into one video. I have been experiencing some technical difficulties but hope to have the video up soon. Ps. it will be a very long video, but I will also add in the last couple of questions asked.

ok awesome so as long as i bring my eye shield i should be able to do a road trip to L.A (but if I am going to a party won't I look like Jack sparrow from pirates of the Caribbean)? And ok I literally have write down all of your helpful tips thank you so much! and I already have been diagnosed with anxiety for 3 years now so I have been taking xanex a lot more lately from being so spooked a about this procedure....

Lol No you won't look like jack sparrow, however awesome that may be. You will only need to wear it when you're sleeping.

Just wondering are you able to drive, I'm at the age where my peers are all learning to drive and me also. I'm worried my vision is getting worse but this could me just over worrying. Had cross linking around 6 months ago and apparently it went really well. I'm just worried I won't be able to do all the things I dream of doing including purchasing a motorcycle this summer. My day time vision is pretty much perfect but with my night time vision I get loads glare and double vision, at the moment it's tolerable but if it gets any worse I won't be able to drive at night. I think I'm still technically in the early stages of kc and yet to try any sort of contact lenses or vision correction methods which I hope will improve vision when it's dark. Saying this I do have a follow up appointment to see if everything is stable. I've been told transplant would be my last resort so I believe I've got a few things to try before that :D

I have the same question about driving. I am age 21 and everyone is pressuring me to learn how to drive. I am afriad that I may cause an accident due to my poor vision. I also havent been wearing the Rigid Gas Permeable contacts that my optometrist prescribed to me ( tough they are very expensive..... ;( ). I had keratoconus since I was I think 14. I haven't seen my optometrist since December 2015. What should I do? I did talk to the optometrist in the past about surgery but it wasn't done "legally" in the states according to him. Should I be going back to see the optometrist? I don't know what to do. I am also scared for the surgery if I do have the option.

Hi Kelly my name is Fatima. I just started watching your videos this morning I am scheduled for a left eye cornea transplant on August 11th I am terrified btw lol watching your videos have given me a lot of pre-insight so thank you btw :) So that being said my question is will I need someone to stay at home with me at all times during the first week or can I be left alone? and second the week after my surgery is it possible I will be able to go for a weekend to low angelos?

Sorry if my response comes up as me on my other account. I wish you well for your transplant! It's something that understandably is Berber wracking, but the lead up to the procedure, at least in my case, was more anxiety producing than the procedure itself. To answer your questions, you can certainly be left alone, but it's nice to have someone to help you out, at least for the first couple of days. If you absolutely can't have anyone there to take care of you I'd recommend having easy meals available to you (microwave meals or delivery) and some sort of device to grab things off the floor in case you drop something.

And you can travel to Los Angeles, only if it doesn't involve you flying though. For that make sure you have your eye shield and the medicine you're instructed to take with you.
