Hi good afternoon, i have a question. If you activate the pre-cooking mode and leaves the gun stored, does it damage to the spring? Should i have to check this feature not active when i stop playing?
If you leave precocking on while stored then your keeping the spring compressed in storage and the anti reversal latch is taking and holding all the load through the gearsnfor a long period. It could make the spring lose some stiffness or be a bit weaker. I don't really know. How significant the change in stiffness would be but over the long term (like years) you may notice a slight drop in FPS due to a weaker spring. Some players get into the habit to enable at game start and disable before they pack up at the end of the day. If you decide to do that don't forget to fire a few shots after disabling to make sure the piston will be neutral. Personally I dont bother changing my settings but I play fairly often and need to open my gearbox frequently for other wear and tear or maintenance issues so it's not a big deal for me if I feel I need to replace a spring 🤓👍.
