Im seeing this video because tomorrow I will have an exam of Speaking (KET) but is only a practice but is for be in PET level and Im good at speaking english but I get so nervous , and that really scares me😭 , Im from Mexico😭
When you look at the canditate's performance from another point of view ( not as a student) you see things that can be conciderate accurate for the level. Apart from some hesitations and the intelecutor help, Luis migh have passed or narrow failed, he indeed showed limited control of grammar and very basic vocabulary, his interaction was very poor due to the lack of grammar used in the questions and answers, he barely read what was written in the booklet, his pronuntiation is ok for the level although his answers were maily given with a flat intonation. Gustavo did quite well, he showed sufficient control of simple forms, his pronunciation is mostly intelligeble and he could maintain simple exchanges and required little prompting and support. I am not an examiner, just an English lover.
I feel like if the examiners were a bit more comforting or not that rigid, these kids would have done better. It looks like a police interview. If it's a low level like this the examiner shouldn't intimidate the examinees but make them feel at ease.
No seas tan maleducado.
When anyone doesn't drive, a car looks like a ship. It's the same that happens when anyone doesn't know another language. An anybody becomes an abybody in the voice of Luis.
I m seeing this video i m feeling nervous bcz my KET exam on 13 may 2017 . My speaking not good so thats y i m confuse that how i will speak for the front of the examiner 😫 i m really scare 😨
i think poor Luis was absolutely not prepared to do the KET speaking. How can you NOT be ready to spell your last name and stop to think about the letters of the alphabet? Any ready candidate just spits them out in sequence just like Gustav did because they know they''re gonna ask that.
Disculpen me podrían poner toda la conversacion en ingles porfavor esque como estoi aprendiendo ingles entonces no entiendo bien la combersaciòn gracias ...
i'm afraid because they said me: what is your favourite actor?and I answered ummm ummm what is your favourite actress ?and I answered again ummm umm am i fail?
Hello everybody ! I'm 12 years old and next week I'll competition the KET For Schools Diploma , But my speaking skill is so bad , Why can I do now to improve my Speaking Skill ?! I really want to talk a lot but I don't have any idea , vocabulary or grammar ?? :(
Yusuf Bulut Oh ! I will have KET and PET in October, like you. My English teacher said I could do them successfully , so at that time I didn't know to choose both of them or one of them . But when I see the instruction of these exams, I've decided to choose all them.
Well I'm from Mexico but I have to tell Luis is not good with English actually he is very bad with English I'm from 6th grade and I'll take pet for schools
+Daniel Echeverria Actually Luis has more opportunities to achieve a better level of English in a shorter period of time than you, because he's at Cambridge, knowing the language with native speakers 24/7; he will be able to understand features of English that cannot be taught in a classroom.
+Sunshine Sunashi He's not in Cambridge, he took a test from Cambridge... y no puedes presentar el ket a esa edad, yo también pensé que lo había presentado pero creo que no se puede
+Ximena Briones 1:52 T: "How long have you been here in Cambridge" Luis: "umm 3 days" at 2:16 T: "And when will you go back to Mexico?" Luis: "umn in december". Probably he`s not gonna stay at Cambridge all that time, but just by being in a multicultural context, he's forced to use english to communicate.
Is this PET level??? My 'Movers' Young Learners speak better than they do!! What a travesty! Have they been taught by professional Cambridge ESOL teachers?
I'm not blind and I am not deaf either, hence the reason for my comment. The pronunciation and structure are below KET level and the lack of preparation is noticeable. I am being honest and I only have your and all students of English' interests at heart. Enjoy your studying and always try to do better. I am quite sure you can. Cheers. With reference to Natalia Cruz' sentence: It is not 'an KET exam - there is no an BEFORE a consonant.
