Keurig Review (From a Non-Coffee Snob) (Day 1512 - 1/14/14) 

I can imagine this: Mornings with Stephen. He drinks coffee while calmly discussing various things. A radio show perhaps.

"I like it both ways" - Stephen Not a fan of Coffee but haven't tried it in years. I used to dislike tea a few years ago but now I love it so maybe the same will happen with coffee.

I'm 24, and only started drinking coffee regularly about a year ago, when I began having to wake up at dawn every day for a manual labor job. Now I can't start my day without it. I also smoke, and I gotta say, that first coffee/cigarette combo of the day is one of the most gloriously sinfully indulgent pleasures life has to offer.

You sound like my dad. He never really "enjoys" coffee, but he always feels the need to make a pot to get him ready early in the morning before heading to work. Plus it makes the house smell AMAZING.

I not to long ago got home. Stressful day. Then i watch this video. A calm video discussing a very calming drink. This video helped me relax. Thank you.

I'm 14 years old (15 in 3 days) and i'm a sophomore in high school. I regularly one or two times a day drink a latte in my tassimo. Basically you just put an expresso and then you put a latte. I put about a teaspoon of sugar, and it usually wakes me up in the morning before school. Today I decided to give normal coffee a try, I believe it was Colombian and I thought it was actually quite good. But for the most part, I'd say I enjoy lattes much more than coffees. The only time I drink regular coffee is when I really need to wake up for school. Great vlog, Stephen!

We got a heavy-duty Keurig at my workplace a few months ago. We've built up a nice variety of coffee and tea k-cups to suit all the coworkers' tastes. I like the Keurig, but getting my own would be way out of my price range--especially if I can use the one at work for free! My favorite of the coffees in k-cup form, hands down, is the Kahlua blend. (TOUCH MY STASH OF KAHLUA K-CUPS AND I'LL CUT YOU.)

I love how that episode of GTAV ended up landing on this vlog at the end.

As a senior in High school, I can say I sooorta understand the "not liking coffee until you're older". I mean, I didnt like coffee at all until this school year, and even then my opinion changes on a daily basis. So, while I have nothing to add to the conversation, its just my two cents. My grandmother got me started on black coffee when I was 3. She would get a cup and she would save me a sip. I've drank coffee ever since.

I have a Keurig at home and at Christmas my freshman year in college I got a Keurig to keep in my room for school, which is great when you're doing all nighters. And I drink it with lots of flavored creamer (for non-flavored coffee), or with non flavored cream and sugar (for flavored coffee). When I was younger, my mom refused to let me drink coffee, so I'd only drink it at my friend's house. Now I'm the biggest coffee drinker in the house

I love coffee, not only does it give energy but it really does taste good. Drink it almost every morning, but I'm not addicted to it or anything. I have this awesome coffee mug where it says "I Hate Whatever Today Is" on the side. Perfect for mornings I usually don't want to get up for.

I don't drink coffee that often, but I do enjoy it-no sugar, no cream, just plain coffee. I brew it using pre-ground beans (I can't be bothered to deal with the grinding myself) on my AeroPress-it's cheap, quick, not messy, and doesn't leave a weird taste, so I love it. These days I only have a tin of Delta Ouro coarse-ground beans in the cupboard because I don't drink that much coffee, so it lasts me for months (well sealed, of course). More often than drinking coffee, I drink tea, also plain. I stopped adding sugar a couple of years ago and I never looked back. I brew it with tea leaves-way cheaper and way better quality than the tea bags-also on my AeroPress (using the inverted method), because of the same benefits I said before. That said, I'm also a non-hot-beverage-snob, I'm just a bit frugal, but I like to keep some standards.

I'm not a big fan of coffee but I love using the Keurig. I am a big tea person and the Keurig is extremely useful for making it when I need a quick cup.

My girlfriend and I got a keurig right before Christmas and its been great! We like to have a cup in the morning and then a cup in the evening after work. Like you, we only ever want a cup at a time and we wanted something that wasn't messy. As far as coffee preferences go, we like to get Newman's own special blend k cups and add some coffee bean vanilla powder to it.

I have the same exact keurig, im not a coffee snob either but i never really drank it before the keurig either but its so convenient and I love it. I don't even know how to use other coffee pots now. I need to use french vanilla creamer with it though, so good.

I've been drinking coffee since I was about 5 years old when my great grandmother would give me her's when we would go to McDonald's for lunch. So due to my 15+ years of drinking coffee black I have gain an immunity to the caffeine and just drink it for the flavor and to relax

I'm told that i'm still pretty young to be regularly ingesting coffee but I like the taste and the energy it provides me with every morning, I drink a cup or 2 in the morning every day that I have to go outside, otherwise it's tea

Biologically, the Coffee itself won't give you energy. Coffee is considered a drug because it temporarily blocks the receptors that make you sleepy. Sugar and carbohydrates do create actual energy that the body uses to work.

I'm more of a tea person myself. The only coffee I drink is Starbucks Mocha Frappuccino bottled beverage or Java Chip Frappe.

I remember drinking coffee at 4 years old, but haven't drank it again since mid last year. I try many types to see if I like them or not. Lately though I've been drinking a lot more tea because of how my class schedule is set up.

My mom has a Keurig and she really likes it. She also really likes coffee and could maybe be considered a 'coffee snob' so I guess that's a good thing in the Keurig's direction.

Been drinking it since I was little, so I've gotten to become a bit of a coffee snob. My mom used to buy the little instant coffee tins, (you just put the flavored coffee powder in hot water and stir) which I always loved the taste of. I don't drink it on a daily basis or anything, and I've never drank coffee for energy, only ever consuming it for the taste. Now, I mostly get an iced coffee or frappacino (my favorite kind of coffee) from Starbucks, and only drink hot coffee ocassionally, like when I'm at a restaurant in the morning. I also love coffee ice cream and the Jamocha shake from Arby's...I wish I had one right now!

Keurig also got me into coffee a little! I also had a surprisingly good hot chocolate (made by Grove Square I think?) with it the other day.

I'm in my 3rd year of university and can't go without at least a cup or two a day. Living in Canada, I don't have as much selection but I really like my Timmie's T-Discs, super convenient way to get a cup of coffee before running off to class. Also I like mine with just a bit of milk, I find sugar makes it too sweet, but can quite handle the bitterness of black.

I'm a high school senior and I like Starbucks but I also drink what my parents brew at home. The only problem is that sometimes it makes me got a wee bit loopy. I actually used to drink coffee on a regular basis when I was a sophomore....until I found that it literally made me shake so I switched to tea after that but if it's a weekend then I'll sometimes enjoy a cup in the morning.

I gotten a Keurig about 3 years ago because it's cheaper in long run and my mom sometimes used it too.

My experience with coffee is kind of the same as yours except I started drinking it in high school instead of collage. But I like it with milk and only a tiny bit of sugar since I actually like the taste of the actual coffee more than what you put in it

Back when I used to drink, I only had Maxwell House instant coffee.

I've been drinking coffee since I was 14. Sort of disturbed my family a little bit, but it's the only beverage that's made me feel adult. I never really felt that way about alcohol. But my addiction was really bad in college to where I was at eight espresso shots a day.

I've had coffee from a Keurig, I've had coffee from a traditional pot, I've had "coffee" from Starbucks. I even had fresh-ground coffee once. I can't really tell the difference, I just don't really like Tully's Hawaiian Blend. I like their French Roast and House Blend, though. I've also had medium roast Seattle's Best of an unknown age at work. It gets me through the day.

Can't live without

Something I like about the Keurig is that it has different K-cups. I can't handle straight coffee...the taste is something that i'm not a fan of. However, i'm a fan of hot chocolate, and my family loves coffee. So in between a cup or two, I'll stick in my own K-cup of hot chocolate and get some of the residue from previous cups, but nothing too big. It's a hot cup of something that gives me a boost of energy whenever I need it.

I'm still in high school and I don't really like hot drinks like coffee so I don't know if it's too early for me to start thinking about it but the closest thing to coffee I drink is a frapacino (can't spell) which is ice!

My mom loves her Keurig, and coffee (lattes at least). I'm more of a tea guy myself. I know the Keurig can make tea, but I make it more traditionally.

I used to drink coffee a lot in my first 2 years in high school but after that and now I can barely down one cup it makes me very jittery feeling so now I stick to sweet iced tea in the mornings :)

i have like 4 cups every morning, i LOVE coffee, and i also have decaf at night time it relaxes me in the evening. 1 cream, no sugar, thats the way to go!

I actually find after dinner coffee quit relaxing so I get the before bed thing. I also love coffee personally though.

Also, Stephen, to be honest, most coffee drinkers prefer simple straight forward no fancy frills donut shop coffee. The kind your drinking right now. Mr. Coffee is the leading sales for coffee makers since 1986. Simple switch. On and off. No timers or grinders or espressos. Just coffee.

In grad school, coffee is less a beverage and more a way of life...though my group of friends has discovered that we all dramatically dropped our caffeine consumption in our third year of doctoral work because freaking out about a dissertation while caffeinated just causes heart palpitations.

"YA COFFEE" Anyway, i always liked having coffee when i was younger i liked having Black coffee with sugar, but over time and taking sips from my parents coffee's I've grown to like adding cream and sugar to mine. Dunkin donuts original blend and New England Donut shop coffee are my 2 favorites.

I'm not a fan of coffee, never have been. I'm a tea girl personally. I live at home with my parents and they have a Keurig. I do use it quite a bit for tea. It's nice because if I want a cup of tea, I can get hot water from it and not have to microwave it or boil it on the stove. And there are actually K-cups for tea. I've found a K-cup for Earl Grey tea that I love a lot. The only problem is that sometimes there are coffee grounds in my water and that irks me. But I do love the Keurig.

I don't drink coffee often. But I know for a fact that I find Keurig coffees to taste too watery in my opinion. There's something about how it's made that just doesn't put it up to snuff with brewed coffee or other methods. I alternate between taking my coffee black or white. I either just drink it straight, or I fill half of the cup with cream and then pour the coffee in afterwards. There's hardly any in-between for me, unless I'm drinking something like Starbucks or so.

I never been a coffee drinker, can't really stand it but some nights working at U-Haul I sometimes think about caving and trying some just so I can stay awake. It hasn't happened yet but now that caffeine is starting to affect me there may be a point where I do cave.

I'm not a coffee person, though not for lack of trying. I've always drank it for energy but never for several days in a row, I always quit before it becomes an acquired taste.

i actually really like my keurig. i use it nearly every night to make either tea, hot chocolate or just to get hot water. my mom sometimes uses it to make oatmeal in the morning and then she makes coffee. i've always loved coffee. i remember asking my grandma if i can have some of hers when she used to babysit my sister and i when we were little. there was even a time i basically lived off of coffee and the ADHD medication i was on. there's a bunch of different coffee's over the past few years that i've liked from the keurig--one being kahlua coffee. it's one of my favorites. just add some sugar and a little half and half and it's amazing. they also make a bunch of different flavors of coffee. the boxes are expensive though. my parents buy massive boxes from costco and we have coffee for a few months before we need to buy more of it. and if you drink coffee at night, i would look into getting decaf. i drink coffee at night too.

Had to actually go back and watch this because I'm going to be starting a full time job next month and I really will need a coffee maker. School plus full time job equals tired, cranky lady XD

I love coffee. I use a pot and ground beans. It's just warm and tasty and full of glorious caffeine!

I've never had coffee just black. I like cream and sugar and the amount of sugar I want depends on how my day is going. I used to want a lot of sugar in it, but that changed. Whenever I have coffee, I always have bread, or donuts if it's available, as a snack with it. With that, I also love iced coffee.

I started drinking coffee when i was 9-ish and from then on i have the occasional coffee. But it does have to have creamer, or sugar.

I have never noticed the difference of coffee with or without cream. With you there. Sugar defs improves it but I try to not drink it much because that is a loooot of extra sugar in a day.

I have a cup before school everyday but 5:45 is kinda early to eat or drink anything. It never really gives me energy. Does it have any energetic affect in you Stephen?

If you do like coffe for the actual coffe flavor, i'd recommend espresso, maybe with some chocolate since you like your coffe sweet. It's annoying to make it yourself but the difference in flavor between coffee and espresso just makes it worth it (from a coffee snob).

I used to drink Dolce Gusto Coffee pods back when I drank coffee, until it started affecting my anxiety/giving me jitters. Now I drink tea or water.

As a college kid, I don't have a keurig of my own nor do I really like coffee, I know breaking the college code,The only coffe I really drink if you want to consider it that is mochas, specifically white chocolate mochas from Starbucks.

I'm 22. Started drinking coffee at a funeral and use to hate it in middle school. Mainly because dad gave it to me with cream but I prefer it black and honestly never drink it with cream.

I love coffee so much but I do get the feeling it doesn't really affected me in energy i think it the pleasure of having it and I have a small problem with me Keurig and it making my coffee a little to watery at the first use. Does anyone else have this problem with the Keurig?

I do like coffee. I mostly have one cup a day, sometimes I would skip a couple of days without having coffee and that's fine for me. I haven't tasted Dunkin Donuts' coffee, but, when I do buy coffee at a food place, I do enjoy 7-Eleven's Columbia coffee with sugar and Half and Half.

I never really drank coffee growing up. My father owns a tea company, so we only ever drank tea. But I currently work at a campus convenience store at my university, and we receive coffee training when we are hired. And employees also get one free coffee per shift (not just regular coffee, but lattes and the like), so I got into the habit of having a mocha or vanilla latte every shift. But those things are loaded with sugar, so I've been trying to switch back to tea or just plain water when I work. It's funny though, because coffee never gives me energy or wakes me up.

I love drinking black coffee. I can't stand it whenever my coffee has cream or sugar in it. I don't know why but I guess its because of how when I was a kid I used to drink my mom's coffee (which was black), and I absolutely loved it.

From what I've heard coffee doesn't directly make you shorter. But more or less having coffee as your only refreshment, instead of say milk or juice, might not give you the right or enough of the nutrients to make you grow.

i'm drinking a cafe mocha right now..... I have a keurig, and it's extremely convenient for drip coffee's but nothing beats a cafe style coffee like a mocha. Although i do have to admit cafe styled drinks are liquid deserts that just happen to contain coffee.

I drink coffee every once in awhile not to often if im gonna drink something to warm up its hot chocolate I have drunk coffee but ill usually buy an ice coffee from star bucks. And that'll give me enough energy for the day its also good if I have a headache cause it goes away after I drink it. I use the keurig vue and its good but I just use it to heat up the water for the cocoa.

I'm more of a coffee addict in the most literal sense. I must have at least one cup a day in order to function at all. I really don't like depending on the coffee to wake up but at the same time I LOVE the taste of coffee and I really don't want to go through the withdrawals that come with switching to decaf. I kind of justify it in the way of "There's worse things to be addicted to".

I would consider myself a coffee snob, and I am a really big fan of the Keurig! I don't have one at college but at home we have one and it is really difficult to not use it every day! We have a wide variety of K cups (Green Mountain, Dunkin, Starbucks, etc.) and I honestly like all of them (though Sbux is my favorite!). It's so convenient as well. I don't put sugar in my coffee, only flavored creamer, which I find sweet enough to not need sugar at all. I also prefer iced coffee. xD In summary... coffee is the nectar of the gods. And I drink far too much of it, haha.

I live in a country (Sweden) where coffee is the number one drink to drink for almost all occasions, and I don't like coffee. There is always coffee ready to be served, but I always have to get tea (wich I only like if there is both milk and honey) or water. It's a bit vexatious to have "fika" (Swedish word for casual conversation while drinking coffee and enjoying sweets) and having just water or some bitter tea to drink.

I love coffee but only a small cup, having a lot gives me a stomach ache. I always drink it with french vanilla creamer, preferably the coffee mate brand. I'm not really a big fan of milk and sugar it tastes kinda boring to me. I usually have a cup in the morning sometimes another later in the day.

do you know whats strange my father drank a cup of coffee in the morning and one right before bed for the longest time and i though he was a weirdo. As I grew and started drinking coffee myself i fell into the same routine.

I have a Tassimo and am pleased with that as I really only drink Teas and various Tea Lattes which the Tassimo can provide, while I havent seen any teas or lattes that I like from Keurig. The only Keurig cup I had was a Hot Chocolate and that was most definately better then the Tassimo one. But as since I dont like coffee at all, even after 21 years on this earth, I think I will stick with my Tea T-Discs.
