Great video been waiting for months for another episode 👍🏼 really appreciate how much time it must have took to wire up the lights on that board great comparison, really like watching wheeler dealers for landys 👍🏼
Hi Reece, Happy to hear you enjoyed it - unfortunately real work got in the way, so apologies for the delay! Yes, that board did take a while to wire up, but I thought it was useful to see the difference in brightness side-by-side. Wheeler Dealers has definitely been an inspiration, Edd China is definitely someone I try to emulate :)
Cheers for the video helped out. I’ve done the same on mine and all good so far apart from the rear light / brake light they come on but are not getting brighter when pressing the brake pedal anyone got any idear on why this is happening
Awesome videos, I’m to young to drive but a truck that i would love to have is a Land Rover just like yours. I would also love to upgrade/mod/restore one!
Just about to do this myself and coincidentally also bought from Bolt on Bits...... Just got to find out where the old flasher relay is (I hope its not behind the instrument binnacle.....but I think it is!
A paint job would not go a miss, because now slapping on these new things is like putting lipstick on a sheep. None the less it is a Defender. Will love them for ever or until the bank account is empty
Where do you get the parts starting at 7:27? You said you had an extra, but my defender doesn't have those on the original wiring. My local autoparts store doesn't have it either. Thanks!
Hi Rob, Are you talking about the connectors? I had to replace the connectors that were already on the wiring loom because they were the old Land Rover ones and wouldn't fit the connectors on the new lights. Fortunately Bolt on Bits provided them with the kit, but you can find connectors like that on eBay, search for ampseal or superseal connectors..
