Cris2 Times you don't even need to be gay. just this dude literally went from nothing to something & formed a "boy band" from a Kanye West forum. he's just living his dream regardless of his weird personality. that's inspiration.
Wanna know something even more inspirational? This dude is from my hometown. We've smoked blunts together. My town is some bullshit little shit hole. Just goes to show anybody can make it
ハムスター! "how so?" Exactly. Typical music taste, typical "I want to be weird but I'll never make music that's actually experimental" rapper sound. These people need to realize that death grips, Danny brown, clipping are already doing ACTUAL weird shit. Rappers in general need to listen to more music and realize what's already been done.
ハムスター! i dont think the music itself is revolutionary sounding (besides the fact that he made an indie rock album about the gay experience while being black) but the instrumentals are not clipping or alva noto
he is the spokes person for every awkward, creative, vulnerable black teenager who was laughed at, picked on, and shamed by people and even family. thank you kevin for being our superhero ❤️
DesignerNath this person is specifically talking about how black people aren't really allowed to be 'wierd' or 'awkward' or 'vulnerable' can y'all stop trying to make race stuff not about race
john doe Nice Joke dude, his music is just a bunch of major harmony, like every other clone of the industry this days, Donald is way ahead technically, there is just no comparaison, educate your ears.
Sein Louis Well Gambino is older and has been in the game longer so it’s expected but let’s see where Kevin is in a few years musically. His music quality has already grown so much in the last few years.
Everyone that was dumping on 808s and Heartbreak gonna feel real mad listening to all these new rappers/musicians talking about how much that album changed their lives.
A year and two days later and Brockhampton is absolutely huge. As much as people hate it when others talk about discovering artists way way before they got big, it's such a cool feeling finally having friends who listen to it instead of just you.
kevin is like a role model to me right now, hes only a few years older than me and doing what he love. just having fun, thats what its all about. keep doin what you doin man and keep inspiring
BRuh he didnt even like hiphop. Kanye changed him and then tyler inspired him. He has his own group now, and his manager is Clancy, the same dude that manages tyler. fuck, i cant wait for camp flog gnaw 2017
This gets me sad looking back at how much good and bad has happened and how they are having issues going back to their original creative process. I hope they can rekindle the originality and creativity that helped them get seen in the first place
I don't understand the hype but that's because I'm someone on the outside looking in but I do understand that whatever he's doing is touching people in a positive way so that's wonderful to me keep it up ...I'm going to look into his music I'm curious
The hype is mainly about a new generation of artists going indie and changing the industry by playing by their own rules and not letting a small minority of executives control every decision anymore. It's interesting to watch the way the industry morphs and adapts over the years and especially nice to see room opening up for people who used to be excluded but refused to stop making their art and pushed their way in.
