I don't know, he did say "the one day a celebrity SHOULDN'T be the focus of everyone's attention in the room is someone's wedding." But he may not have meant himself.
David McDonald , Good point on Donald. I was referring more to the students. Especially since Kevin’s roll was so minor in Animal House. There’s no real point in directly comparing the careers of Bacon and Sutherland. Different generations, different careers.
*?* ( *Like Brando, Bacon has been exceedingly lucky in being offered a role in 'Iconic' movies* ) *Any movie itself is ALWAYS the 'Star' and not the actors in it* ( *Is it true there are some actors who can 'transcend into a role' so well that people forget they are just 'Acting?'* *Yeah* ) *No one saw 'the actor Charles Laughton' in "The Hunchback of Notre Dame"...they see only 'Quasimodo' because Laughton breathed life into the role and made him 'Real'* *Val Kilmer did the same as 'Doc Holiday'...people saw 'Doc' as-if 'Somehow Hollywood managed to resurrect the actual man and he played himself in a movie...what'll they think of next?'* *Edward G. Robinson always put "Everything I can' into any role and 'become' that character because to do less cheapens what I do for a living and my standards for myself are very demanding, even if the movie itself isn't a 'Big Picture"*
The scene in animal house when they were in front of the dean and flounder has the pencils hanging out his nose breaks me up every time🤣🤣🤣🤣 RIP Mr. BELUSHI...
Have Always loved anything Kevin Bacon was involved in....and it all started with him in Animal House as Chip Dillard..."Thank You Sir My I Have Another"...and at the end of the same movie screaming at the rampaging crowd "All Is Well".
He filmed in our town for The River Wild, legend has it that he was super cool and hung out with the crew and locals. Meryl Streep wasn't so nice from what I hear.
Amazing depth and range of talent. Never saw Footloose, I know, I know. But I've seen just about everything else. He is amazing. And he's talking about Angola....just about the hardest time anyone can do in state or federal prison.
Just a tiny sidenote: There's a vintage clothing shop in downtown Savannah Ga called 'House of Strut'..cute and funky little place..they have a BIG disco ball hanging in one room, it's the Disco ball from Footloose!! 🕺🏼
8:20 in, at the Belushi party, mentioned thinking about putting fish in his pocket. Later, In Trading Places, Dan Aykroyds character, Louis Winthorpe III, stuffs fish into his Santa suit.
"$1500 for a haircut - that was a lot of money for a haircut in the 80's!" I don't think I've paid $1500 in total in my life for haircuts, and I was a teenager when Footloose came out.
I am pretty sure the only other person alive that could out cool Kevin Bacon 🥓 Is Matthew McConaughey. Those 2 are the collest mutherflukcers in HollyWeirdo.
