She is amazing in this. Schitt’s Creek is my all time favorite TV show. It took about 15 minutes to forget that she played Alexis. She is such a great actress, it’s hard to believe she couldn’t get work for 2 years before Schitt’s. I love her !!!!!

Enjoying the series so far, I find it interesting how the scenes with Kevin have a bright colorful filter with laugh tracks, sitcom style, and when he is gone it changes to a darker tone and the laugh tracks are gone.

I remember thinking that when The King of Queens came on (which I never watched), I thought, "Great, another cute, skinny wife with a fat slob husband who isn't even really cute." That always made me so angry. Think about Roseanne or even Mike & Molly, the fat girls don't get fit, gorgeous guys; the men have to be schlubby too. But, oh no, can't have Melissa McCarthy hanging with Ryan Reynolds. So, anyway, the minute I read about this I was in--mainly because I wanted to see someone address this terrible double standard that has existed far too long in the cultural zeitgeist. I am hooked after two eps, and can't wait for more. By the way, I hope she doesn't kill Kevin, but rather pulls him into her world and leaves him there to contemplate his useless, man-child existence. That's a fate worse than death, eh?

I don't think so. You should commit to someone who understands and cares about you and your happiness, passions, health etc. and willing to put the effort in themselves and the relation. Also for things to work you should also be mature to know how to manage your life and relation. Sometimes things don't work out but that's with everything in life, nothing is a 100%

I usually hate all family situational sitcoms for this reason. I might watch this. I enjoyed the King of Queens occasionally and if I had a fave, Everybody Loves Raymond, but I only discovered it in reruns and my faves was the mother-in-law, Marie, but after The Cosby Show, it was mostly a wrap for me for family sitcoms.

I love the concept, but I kinda hate the message. I guess I would say communicate with/leave your partner and don't depend on other people for your happiness. That way you don't get to the point where you consider murdering them. Hopefully the show develops the premise into something a little less toxic.

Yeah,I get the point they’re trying to make about the the fat,bumbling insensitive husband with the hot wife trope.But it’s a little disingenuous to say all of the wives in those shows were smiling and submissive little angels.Alice Kramden,Louise Jefferson,Peggy Bundy ,Jill Taylor,Lois Wilkerson,Carrie Heffernen and Debra Barone,just to name a few.They may have been married to idiots,but they didn’t just smile, look pretty and take it.
