this is probably the best movie that he ever did, aside from open range, which was another great film that he directed, and i love how he stated that he does"nt make his movies for endorsement, he just makes them because he has a passion for filmmaking and for telling a story, we need more directors like that nowadays
One of our favorite movies of all time, Dances With Wolves & Kevin Costner! I love how when Bobbie does interviews She never asks uncomfortable personal questions the way some interviewers do. And I’m sure all of the interviewees appreciate her a great deal. What a lovely lady she is!! 🥰🥰🥰🦋
This film was an absolute masterpiece for a first time director though the full length version - lasting some three hours - might need to be watched in two sittings. Indeed, there was an intermission after 2 and a quarter hours originally. It won 7 from it's 12 Oscar nominations - including one for John Barry's outstanding and epic score - his first for around 2 years after recovering from a life-threatening illness.
doesn't hold up as great as I'd like it to but it's still wonderful the speech from Wind in His Hair gives me chills just thinking about it and it's been over a decade since I've watched the movie ! saw it in the theater when I was 10
