I don't believe "longevity" or durability of LeBron is greater than Jordan's either. LeBron has missed a ton of games over the last 4 years and is load-managing with fake injuries he could play through. LeBron has played all 82 games only once in his career. Jordan did it 9 times...including 82 games at 40-years old at 37 mpg. Only major injury kept Jordan off the floor significant time. Retirements aren't "breaks". Anyone who has played significant basketball knows, a lot of time away is the worst thing you could do, especially in your 30's. The fact Jordan could play like he did as a Wizard in his late 30's is amazing. He smoked cigars, put on 35 to 40 pounds...got his ribs broken by Artest and couldn't train the last couple months up until the season....still in the MVP conversation in his first year with the Wizards. Jordan could have played until he was 50 had he load managed like guys do today.

Jordan's first retirement was no vacation. He had to spend additional time practicing a sport he hadn't played since high school. As a minor leaguer, he rode on a bus and he appeared in 127 games.

my friend, no one is doing jordan moves. Name me someone who continuously plays like him with his complete artistry, aerial moves, scoring prowess, midrange game, clutch shooting and intensity on both ends of the court? 🙌... By the way, lebron averaging 30pts a game in this era is a joke. Jordan played in a physical handchecking era with the emphasis on tall power forwards/centres clogging up the paint without any 3 second defensive rule. It was so much harder to score back then... jordan achieved all he did in a man's league. That era is long gone 🎯...

LeBron averaging 30 pts/gm in this era is not a joke...but doing so while giving sporadic effort on the defensive end makes it a joke.

@@batman9512 everyone's averaging similar numbers these days though. People say Lebron is putting up similar numbers but it's not even close, he has a way better team than Jordan had, and still ended up with terrible offense and defense, despite the empty numbers he's putting up. He doesn't even cross half court sometimes to play defense and his fans excuse it, it's just not the correct way to play WINNING basketball.

Imagine taking 3 years off at 35, drinking, smoking cigars, worrying about team moves, playing pretty much nothing but golf, come back at 38 dealing with tendinitis in both knees, getting your ribs broke in a pickup game and still almost leading one of the worst teams in the nba to the playoffs but got injured while being the only addition to that team. I dont think some younger guys understand how hard it is to try and regain any form of basketball shape while dealing with situations like that.

Just this: Jordan came to play for Wizards and overall improved their game and record so much that, if he didn't get injured, they'd most likely make it to playoff. LeBron on his last year puts up his stats and his team played worse. What does that tell you? Jordan was in it to WIN, LeBron is in it to get stats. Simple as that..

Lebron is just stat padding now to get records, and hand picking his HOF teammates to win the title with the least resistance possible. Jordan didn't dodge HOF's, by teaming up with them. @tiredoffools8929

As impressive as Lebron's scoring has been as a 37 year old last year.... you have to realize that Lebron wasn't putting in that effort on the defensive side of the ball that MJ was still doing as a Wizard age 38 to 40. How many times you see Lebron stay put on a fast break the other team started. MJ is running after that fast break and not saving himself for offensive stats. You also have to take into account the load management Lebron has had over his career, as well as the advanced medical science that he's had over MJ. In fact, Lebron has only played a full 82 game season once in his career. MJ was one game shy of playing 82 Games ten times in his career. The year right after Lebron played his first 82 games season, what happened? He got his first injury that took time away from his Debut Laker Season and they didn't even make the playoffs. A Lakers team that had far more talent than MJ's Wizards team. People need to keep the Load management and lack of consistent defensive effort in the conversation whenever we are making these comparisons. Lebron isn't a dummy, and he knows that people value offensive stats over defensive ones. So a 37 year old, scoring 30 pts, with a lot of talent around him while playing no defense is not nearly as impressive as a 40 year old scoring 20 points and giving you all he has on the defensive side of the ball as well. Going back to the 82 games theme, one thing to note is that Lebron averages 72 games a season over the course of his career. That's an average of 10 games off per season. MJ gets criticized for retiring for 1 and 3/4 yrs in his prime after his first threepeat, but then don't realize that LBJ has had 190 games off during his NBA career and that is equal to two NBA season's off. That is with all of the medical science advantage LBJ has. Think about that.

And yes, I’m an expert 😂😉, I’m a lifelong fan). What I appreciate the most is your own knowledge about the game. There will eventually be another challenger, but remember, the game has changed drastically. Jordan dominated in an era where there were so many dominant Centers, and some great power forwards too. In my opinion, the weakest position league wide in that era overall was probably the Small forward. Yes there was Bird, Pippen, Shrempf, Mullen, Elliot, and a few others, but the league was stacked at PF & C. Malone, Barkley, Kemp, Baker, L Johnson, Webber, among others, and Ewing, Olajuwon, Robinson, Shaq, Mourning, Mutumbo, Smits, Divac, Carr, and Sam Perkins. The league nowadays has few quality big men, and even fewer who dominate that position. It relies heavily on the 3 point shot, where in the 90’s, you had to be able to dominate in the paint.

"If MJ was the best player he'd get MVP every year." In the eighties and nineties the MVP was normally picked from the winningest team or a team that was favored to win it all. In the nineties, MJ was in a Bulls uniform for six full seasons. He got MVP 4 times losing 2 times to Barkley and Malone. Barkley and Malone played on the teams with best regular season records and were favored to win it. MJ proved them wrong. Everyone agrees that he should have won all 6. MJ is the greatest that ever played. Bar none

Bro today's players absolutely ARE NOT doing what Jordan did because Jordan was facing MUCH TOUGHER defense than these players are facing now, so you can't say that today's players are doing what he did!! Also you keep bringing up what LeBron James is doing at the age of 37-38 which is completely ridiculous because you're not even close to taking into account who James has on his team in LA (5 total Hall of Famer's) to what Jordan had in Washington (1 All-star Rip Hamilton)!!! If you're going to make the comparison and continuously bring James then you should know what you're talking about!!!

I think the MVP award isn't just about stats. Sometimes it isn't even about being the "Best" player. Sometimes it comes down to things like: What that players means to his team, a la Ben Wallace getting MVP consideration. Sometimes it's about a player that's beginning to change the game, as in Steve Nash's wins.

Lebron is 37. Jordan took time off and then came back at the end of his career. That is much more difficult than when he did it when he was younger. Jordan was 34 years old in his 97-98 season and didnt come back until he was 39 . Way tougher to do to stop and then come back . If jordan wouldnt have played baseball and remember he only played realistically 12 seasons. .One year out with broken foot the other two with wizards and the bulk of his stats and championships were done in roughly 11-12 years. NOBODY compares. Took kobe and lebron till season 17 to pass him in scoring. You need to set up the same scenario for james as what jordan did. He retired at 34 in 1998 and didnt come back till he was what? 39/40? 6 years LOL. Like i said, when jordan left he wasnt done in 1998 , Krause and reisndorf screwed all that up and guess why michael retired? He didnt want to play for another team he was loyal to chicago, if he couldnt have jackson and pippen he was done. Would lebron do that? Jordans focus and character is unmatched.

The MVP doesn’t go to the best player in the league dude, and was never meant to, it goes to the player that was the most valuable to his team by criteria of having consistently elevated them all season and resulting in the team achieving something unexpected or exceptional. There were plenty of high skill, incredibly talented and remarkable players with physical abilities beyond the obvious understanding. Dominique Wilkins, Spudd Webb, Shawn Kemp, Kobe, David Robinson, Shaq, Rodman, There we’re plenty of freakish athletes. Sure the game has evolved, and so have the quality of players, but I’d argue that the league was just as deep, if not deeper in talent back then than it is even now, and we are talking about one where Defenses were allowed to actually play defense.

The Eastern conference was the strongest conference at that time. LeBron James played in the "Leastern Conference". And Playing plumbers is what losers out side of Boston attempted to use to discredit Bill Russel's 11 Chips! Nonsense. The league is what it is at whatever time it is however, if ya gonna try to say he played lessor players, that has to be met with how weak the eastern conference was while Lebron played. He moved to the strong west... How's that going? There is no comparison between the two... and there are at least 5 players in their prime go in front of James. NBA Hype for the face of the league.

Look Jordan play what 10 or 13 season and look what he has done... now look at Lebron how many seasons just to even be and still not at Jordan level cause 20 seasons and 4 rings thats not impressive , shit Magic , Bird and all this players still did it with less time ... and you guys be like but look he still playing good please 4 ring going on 25 plus years and you still cant do what this guys did in 10 years yes you gonna more stats yes you gonna more point but shit 20 plus years who knows maybe 25 and you still wont get the 6 ring like mike thats not impressive at all why get all like Lebron is the Goat to me he sucks all this years and still 4 ring with all the help cause he does not like to competed he like to play with competition in order to win thats another thing about Lebron so please what you want 25 or 30 years to surpass Jordan yea you gonna have all kind of stats but look at the years thats not a Goat debate to me ...

Michael played through 3 different decades and had injuries, set out his whole 2nd season in NBA cause of broken foot....Remember Lebron spend a million on his body and never had a major injury so, 38 yr old now is the new Norm i believe...alot of players game will be up their in their late 30's. Just a different breed of athletes now. To compare by age prob isnt the best thing with players now and then. Magic Johnson retired at 32 bird pretty much slowed down at 29 And we see Curry and KD at 34 looking like they in they prime..lol

My man, NOBODY is doing what Mike did. You can watch, you can try, but nobody got Mike's hang time and finishing ability. Show me a players mixtape like the Jordan ultimate mixtape. You can't... glad you appreciate Mike but stop saying everyone doing what he did.

Your comments on LeBron longevity are a joke. Kareem. MVP of the NBA when Magic won finals MVP. Last finals MVP 38 years old. Last ring 41. 6 rings. 6 MVP awards. 10 finals. Top 3 scoring rebounds and blocks. LeBron not top 10. Mike Wilt Kareem Larry Russell Dream

LeBron passed Kareem in points by sticking around and losing instead of retiring. I'm a Lakers fan. He ruined my team. Lebron's Lakers are the worst in franchise history. Kareem won his last ring 41 years old. Retired next year.

Only the basic footwork. They're doing what MJ doing, but they're not doing it any better. Even Lebron did the windshield wiper. Not as good. No one is doing as good as layups, only Kyrie. It's not in total one package.

Ain't NOBODY got a layup package like Mike. Show me the guards dunking on 7 footers? Show me all the acrobatic finishes in between 3/4 defenders. YOU the one talking like a hater tryna downplay shit....

You have more excuses than a little bit and ruining the reaction on some whininess. The video is more factual than bias. Your cognitive dissonance bled all through the reaction and maybe you can make a more thorough reaction since you disagree with the video.
