I was at that game ! I was an exchange student at Texas Tech from France... That night I saw this tall skinny kid nailing shot after shot and hitting his chest with his fist ... no one has dominated college basketball as a freshman the way he did... amazing! thanks for posting this vid!
EveryDayIsAGoodDay u don't know what you talking about man. College hoop means alot in terms of NBA success. Hansbrough wasn't dominant in college he was dominant against certain players and teams but when he faced nba talent and size down low he wasn't. KD was hitting 20 a game every single game against anybody. He had the same consistency he has in the nba.
I think he is the most unique player in bball history considering his body type. Its against the laws of nature a 6'11 dude to move and play like this.
+Carlos Peterson wouldn't say by himself. DJ Augustin and AJ Abrams were really good college players too. But yea, Durant should've gone #1 regardless. Hindsight is always 20/20 though.
Isaiah Thomas He absolutely would be. Either you don't know how good he was, or you just forgot how dominant he was when he actually took the floor. The only thing he had a problem with was foul trouble.
I love this guy so much been following since Texas days and still watch his highlights till today. He is without a doubt the best player in da league in my opinion.
At the end, on the ESPN bottom ticker, it shows that Kobe had 43 in a win against the Celtics. GD has that game's highlights, labeled as 43 points +crazy dunk! Pretty cool these 2 went ham the same night, one in college and the other in the NBA
Oden healthy was a monster, closest thing to shaq I have seen in the last decade+, had he not been made of glass we could be talking about him as one of the best centers to ever play the game
I always think what if Lamarcus Aldridge would have stayed one more year. You would have had Aldridge, Durant, D.J Augustine, and A.J. Abrams. That would have been a legendary Texas team.
As a Tech guy, DAMN he shat all over that team. Remember when Texas used to just snag all the best players and make them pros? As Trump would say, "Sad!"
+Marcus Hooks To be fair, KD was the man in Texas, he had no one to take shots away from him. Ingram in Duke has other players that take shots away from him. For Example KARL ANTHONY TOWNS in Kentucky only avg. 10 pounds and 6 rebounds his freshman year because he had other players that ate up on his stats. Stats could be misleading.
Really? tell me who? Ben Simmons is a good example of this. He is basically a guy that could do whatever he wants on the basketball court no real competition. His stats are a little inflated. Don't get me wrong a love Simmons. I do feel he will be a Star in the NBA and i would take him over Ingram but its closer then u think. Also Ingram is a Whole year younger then Simmons. You're telling me that in a Year Ingram will not improve more?
