@@darrengordon-hillcareers are more than just rings and mvps, all nba teams all defensive teams averages and stats, saying what u said is so disingenuous
@khal_vaal_hazak9372 DUH!!! What I said was CONTEXTUALLY ABOUT ACCOLADES. Didn't mention "total points" for obvious reasons (not part of my point) - LeBron has more points than Jordan... but that wasn't "my point". My point was "Name a player with that meets the difference on accolades between MJ and LeBron" KD never won DPOY, so isn't a perfect fit... but yes, we're looking for "2 rings, 1 MVP" - and THAT guy is KD. And I found THAT interesting... especially in "GOAT" convos (KD is quite overrated)
@@khal_vaal_hazak9372 And to OP's point - what DOES KD have without Steph? ONE Finals appeancae YEARS earlier... so he really hasn't done much for a WHILE now.... 0-1 in Finals and one MVP without Steph; that would make him CHARLES BARKLEY...
It's closing or it's closed 🤔, he got hurt in a layup line 😒! If he wins it'll b primarily DBook who'll do the heavy lifting....... he's been in the league since he was 19 😳!!
It’s like playing a survival world and turning on creative then going back to survival. He knows he rigged the system in his favor and his guilt knows deep down he ain’t a real champ
I think Kd really believes what the media says that he saved the dubs & the fans r just hating if u don't agree.....he doesn't like the media tho', strange!!
He went to a 72-game winning team....chump move.....Draymond must have given him the best head job ever to convince.....LeDrama / LeBitch / LeGM did it himself with Kyrie....came back from the absolute death to win against the GSW......incredible achievement......LeBron top 5 of all time......KD wont even make the top 25
He needed a ring to add to his resume but he thought those rings were gonna boost his legacy and make him above lebron lmaoo,,,, they weren't that valuable because he joined a 73 win team,,, if he won in Brooklyn last year instead of getting SWEPT !!, then it would've been different
@ZuraiLion I think You KD haters are lost in Life yall knowniorhing about basketball Curry begged KD to save him from Lebron and Kyrie remember curry CHOKED in 2016
KD can do more on the floor, even averaged 1.5 blocks a game last season. Watching the warriors 2022 chip the defence of wiggins and draymond is what was shutting down opposing teams best players. Defence is why curry missed a fmvp and his poor defence caused his 3-1 choke cuz he couldn’t stop kyrie (kyrie averaged the most points of any lebron teammate in the finals)
That move to Golden State really did a number his psyche… he jumped on the bandwagon and got himself two chips… I feel Jokers one ring thus far already surpassed KD’s two cause he got it with his guys as the leader.
I believe he feels like u can have your opinion but keep it to yourself. Just go along w/what the media says but he doesn't like the media tho'.......strange!!
@@ojoj5194😂😂😂 he got just 2 rings by joining the championship team. Don't you dare compare his career to Joker. He hasn't accomplished anything without Steph.
Not even LeBron does this. Kobe didn’t do this. They let their performances on the court speak for themselves. KD will never live down the fact that he lost the universal respect fans, media, and contemporaries had for him the day he signed with Golden State, and he knows this.
The difference between lebron an kd is lebron won with every team he's played for played. Both Lebron an KD have played with multiple super teams it's just lebron has a bigger impact on teams he plays for.
I hate that KD just picks teams with the best players and moves to a new team every couple years. But lebron does the same thing and leaves everyone of those teams once they lose their stats. Why doesn’t lbj get the same hate for this?
@@KevinCCucumber so if Kd had won a ring with all his team hopping you would like him? The only reason it’s okay that lbj plays on whatever team has the best stats around him is bc he wins? I don’t know just seems hypocritical
@@KevinCCucumber LeBron defenders love to bring up that “fulfilled his contract” but ignore that he kept signing ONE YEAR DEALS in Cleveland so he could leave whenever he saw a better team to jump to, which he did.
Durant is very sensitive and self absorbed. He doesn’t seem like a happy guy - what a waste to have such a neat life and always be miserable. Good point about him “just hooping” then leaving all those teams.
The problem is Kd believes u should agree w/the narrative set forth by the media a/b him! He's been a jump shooter since coming into the league & what has changed a/b his game 🤔?
Seeing grown men bicker about their ranking and legacy in a game invented to be played in a YMCA makes me appreciate Jokic and his DGAF attitude much more
Been saying this cupcake was not the man after joining Steph when Steph allowed him to shine. He's done nothing without Steph. Anyone that says he's top five shouldn't be talking basketball.
@@ojoj5194 WTF HAS HE DONE BESIDES RIDE CURRY'S COATTAIL TO A TITLE? Just being a scorer isn't enough to lead a team to a title. He's the most sensitive little b***h in the league and has the nerve to respond to what people say. He earned the criticism and has never lived up to being the best. He's no where near LeBron and even he has earned his criticism too.
@@curtiszyr how dumb does a person need to be to not see that? It's not even a debate, that was over a while ago. WTF has KD done not riding Steph's coattail? Don't even waste my time.
Booker obviously benefited from KD getting the #1 defenders. They were on the same team, not competing against each other to see who put up better numbers. KD does need to win another chip though. My prediction is he'll never crack the top ten all-time.
The problem w/Kd is he thought he could skip the process of climbing the NBA mountain & just enjoy the mountain top. Fans respect the journey & he realized that after the fact......just saying!!
I actually loved Durant for a while because he stayed on the Thunder so long. If he would have stayed with them and won a chip or two or three, I think we are putting him way higher up on the legacy board.
Since missing the entire 19-20 season, Kevin Durant has played: 20-21 35 games 21-22 55 games 22-23 47 games I realize he's old an injured, but that is an excuse for sucking... It doesn't mean he doesn't suck 🤷
That's the problem with winning with a superteam while you are in a team prior that considers you their franchise player. People will only perceive you to take the easy path despite the accolades you made while in said superteam despite carrying your own weight. Time's ticking, KD. Ya gotta win real soon otherwise this will stick to you for the rest of your career
Kd wants u to believe the narrative the media puts out there a/b him but he doesn't like them tho'! They paint a narrative of him being top 3,5, or whatever.
@@theALMIGHTY987THE MEDIA BEEN LYING ABOUT KD FOR THE LONGEST. Y'ALL CAN'T SEE IT BECAUSE Y'ALL STILL JUDGING HIM FOR JOINING THE WARRIORS. KD CAN BE TELLING THE TRUTH AND Y'ALL THINK HE LYING. THE MEDIA GOT ALL Y'ALL BRAIN WASH ABOUT KD AND A LOT OF MORE PLAYER'S.
@@sharonbrent6919 I just going by what I see 👀, remember what the OKC newspaper 📰🗞️ called Kd 🤔? He forfeited his top player spot when he chose to b a piece around Steph in that system.
The way Curry and Jokic made their teammates look like gods cant be measured but can be seen. They do this while also having kd's skills and is why they are way ahead of everyone else in the league in terms of win precentage.
KD is top 15, maybe. and that's before we even talk about the legacy/league-ruining decision to join a superteam that already has a title, which should bump him out of the top 20
@@uberneanderthal has nothing to do with it. Going off circumstantial stuff? His team won twice with him as clearly the best player. What other year was his team supposed to win?
@@brendanbloom3366 you can't be 'clearly the best player' if you don't even lead the team in Win Shares. Curry led one year, Durant led the other. they're about equal in that regard. difference: Curry has two more titles, and didn't have to join another guy's team to get them. why couldn't he get it done with a 55-win OKC team? and we don't even need to talk about the mess in brooklyn.
@@uberneanderthal the mess in Brooklyn? You mean when harden was on 1 hamstring and kyrie got injured by Gianni’s? Yeah I guess kd was supposed to win with that. FOH. Was okc the favorites that year? No it was gs spurs and cavs. Why couldn’t okc with pg get out of the first rd? Why couldn’t curry and gs make the playoffs without klay? Curry doesn’t have to leave his team cuz he actually has good front office. Okc was just kd Russ and a bunch of dudes who can’t shoot. You tell me the championship team that had spacing as bad as okc. No way you just said fucking win shares. If you view basketball by win shares than you don’t know what the hell you are talking about. Kd was the better scorer defender and rebounder and more versatile player by a lot. Curry does nothing far better than kd. Only thing curry has for him is that the system was built for him. Curry’s own teammates and coach were acknowledging kd as the best player.
The one ring that players like Dirk, Giannis and Jokic got by staying loyal the teams that build them up will always way SO MUCH more than the two rings Durant got with Golden STate.
He has lost his explosiveness since KD ruptured his right Achilles tendon. With his length and stroke with that acceleration and vert he dominated. His 1st step acceleration & vertical have been cut in half. After that injury no1 could be what they were, especially at that age. KD is a legit first ballot HOFer but he not in my top 10.
Kd needs to win championship without curry and be the main reason why. Lead the team, hit big shots....close out games. If Booker leads the team....why should Durant get the credit? The bigger the superteam the less credit he gets.
never forget that the nets superstar trio (harden, durant, kyrie) would've been ringless if only golden state won JUST ONE of the last three games in THOSE finals series
Remember the game the dubs went to BK & the fans were cheering for Steph & calling him MVP 🤔? Fans respect the journey & Kd took the easy path.... just saying!!
@@theALMIGHTY987 so it’s about popularity now? Gs and steph having a lot of bandwagon fans means nothing. Guy had Blake griffin guarding him that game while gs played box and 1 on kd. It’s about the journey? Steph grew up rich as the son of an nba player. Has had the best management in the nba who surrounds him with defense shooting and high iq talent. Went on to win his first ring with his team against all injured teams. Gets outplayed badly by kyrie and stinks it up all series especially in game 7. Hops on a plane to recruit kd. Than gs wins vs an injured nuggets team and the mavs who don’t even make the playoffs the next year and an injured Memphis team and than in the finals faces drop coverage and it’s gs defense which is the main difference in that series along with experience. What an amazing journey. Fans like spoon fed media narratives rather than actually appreciating basketball.
KD could have the *easiest and lightest* 3-peat if not for injury and with 3 FMVPs, people think will he is top 3 ALL TIME without looking at the context, the journey of those 3 rings and 3 FMVPs
@@TheConmanOfConway No all those teams were building around a star player. Except for KG he was ring chasing with the Celtics. But he was a one off he didn’t start that trend lbj did with the Heat. It all started after him every star player just began going to a team with other star players. Loyalty for a team went out the window after lebron did what he did.
If only he had the same outlook as me. Bro, you won chips and won finals mvp twice. What more do you want? People talk about greatness and this and that. It takes a damn team to win. I've never seen a 5v1 match before and I'm wondering if someone has. KD just needs to tune everyone and thing out. You're an all time great, one of the best of your generation and a champion. He's a baller through and through. He strikes me as someone who likes one part of fame, but not the other. It's not an on or off switch. Once you're out there there's good and bad no matter what. Rich and famous with only the positives of fame ain't how the game goes. I rather make bank and be me. Fame is definitely not for everyone.
So his teammate in golden state is in many peoples top 10 all time. No penalty for him tho while that other guy has had nothing but stacked teams with the help of the media and he's considered the goat. No penalty for that guy either. I don't know if KD is still top 5 but I do know that the criticism he gets is unfair. Why is he the only one who gets penalized for playing on a stacked team? That's not right. This whole era damn near has a question mark as far as im concerned
As soon as his teammate didn’t have a stacked team he still went on to win championship without a Top 75 Player on his roster and get respect on his name. While KD continues with early playoff exits with great teams.
@@granthill24 Giannis & Nikola didn’t do it. It’s only a problem when KD does it and try to put him in the same conversations as LeBron James, Kareem Abdul-Jubbar, & other Top Tier Echelon Players. People who properly evaluate Kevin Durant don’t have a problem with it. As long as he’s not in the conversations with the All Time Echelons then it’s all good.
@@johnwilson8218 Kareem yeah Lebron hell no the man has had nothing but stacked teams damn near his whole career. Not only that the media goes out of their way to recruit for him. KD and Lebron are in exactly the same tier.
It this era of inflated stats...winning is pretty much the only way to separate the top tier. Damn near anyone can average 25+ppg today and still be on a sub .500 team. So do your stats translate to winning is a huge factor.
His legacy is that he was very important player in great team in NBA history, Golden State Warriors. He won two championships. His jersey will be retired in San Francisco.
When he left OKC to go to a stacked team because he didn’t want to compete against them he lost a ton of respect. Giannis only has one ring and he will always be respected more than Durant.
The warriors are such a good team. None of them would be as successful on their own. KD is very good. He has had the stats for a while. Winning rings as a solo player is impossible. Kobe was the last to do it. Now you have to have at least 2-3 stars to win a ring.
Hate it or love it u can’t deny Kevin durants greatness he did what he had to do otherwise he would of missed out on championships playing with west brick
KD is not top 20 for me. My top 20 are players that I would feel comfortable drafting at age 20 expecting multiple championships and runs with them as the alpha dog. KD is not that. He should have stayed in OKC and built a team around himself like Jokic and all the greats. He might have established a legacy, but now we'll never know. Too late for buyer's remorse now.
Guy couldn't do anything when he bumped into Jokic in the second round, he needs to secure first or second spot in the regular season with his team to give himself and his team a chance of winning.
K.D is a great player but NOT a good enough player 2 ever lead ANY of his teams 2 victory!! He tries 2 go 2 a "super team" but fails when he's the main guy! Nothing g wrong g with being a great player while not being a LEADER BUT U NEED A TRUE LEADER IN TEAM SPORTS!!!!!PERIOD!!!!
KD is the most pathetic superstar ever: -Blew a 3-1 lead against GSW -Joined GSW a few months after blowing a 3-1 lead against the same team -Recruits Irving and Harden, forming a new superteam, to Brooklyn after winning the easiest rings ever to prove that he can win by himself -Only wins 1 playoff series in 3 years with his Brooklyn superteam -Blackmails Brooklyn to fire Nash or trade him instead -Requests for a trade with Phoenix(the team that was one of the top teams in the West and has just reached the NBA finals) as his preferred destination, forming another superteam with Booker and Paul -Loses in the second round against Denver -Recruits another superstar to Phoenix to form another super team *Suns will have a second round exit again in the 2024 playoffs
The media gives kd a pass because Jordan tried to sponsor him over LeBron to protect his legacy he even went at Steph also because those 2 threaten his legacy
Ok y’all underrate KD I’m ngl. Yes curry is better and he’s no longer in his prime, but KD is still rlly good, and one person can’t do the entire work. Every super team has a few good players not one person just carrying, that’s why the cavaliers are always short in the finals against the warriors. But Kevin Durant is not “trash” he’s still a top 10 imo and he can improve, win another championship, achieve greatness
Kd doesn't realize that fans respect the journey to the top of the league. Kd got airlifted in after the dubs went through the valley, climbed the mountain & planted their flag as champions! His journey has been playing musical chairs w/different NBA teams..... just saying!!
Better than your former teammate Curry, LBJ, Jordan, Kareem, Magic, Russell, Kobe, Bird and Wilt Chamberlain just to name a few? Come on KD, get real. Even compared to today's best players he's gotten down on the list.
Haters can't help themselves, it's mental illness when it comes to KD! 🤷🏿♂ 24/7 kd kd kd kd about talkin somethin else, u need to trash him to get views / likes It’s getting ridiculous at this point.
It's obvious KD cant control the pace of the game that's the secret thats the problem KD's is just a scorer every great player needs a system but with KD 1 through 5 has to play a part LeBron is different LeBron can control the game LeBron just needs another great player LeBron wont use the system LeBron might not win back-to-back or 3 peat. but he'll get you a few rings prime Bron just different
Great Player! But his 2 chips were cheap...Will not even be connected to sth even close to being a champ...Great Player, but wont be remembered for sth special....Barkley >>> Durant
hes got no legacy. his only chip came from an already greatest of all time team. durant cant do it himself. hes never been able to. just like westbrick and harden
KD is bitter because the media crucified him for joining GSW, while they give lebron a pass for miami, cleveland, lakers etc. he should be bitter because he chose the "dickriding other superstars for rings" path (like lebron) and not forging his own path and legacy. its a shame too, because I believe he had what it takes to be greater than lebron.
You know what disingenuous you say you a Jordan fan but only because you can’t use Kobe to go over lebron you have good videos but you show bias cuts with certain players
