What Kevin Hart is saying is this: Don't worry about other people's success. Take care of your shit. Work hard and be as amazing as you can. There's no guarantee you'll "make it", but you'll do better than you would sitting around being negative or wasting time trying to make yourself feel better. People who have "made it" recognize hard work and will help out if they can.
Robert Bloom I’m reading this comment four years later and I love the comment! Having a damned hard time getting back up this time tho... always get back up-these days it isn’t easy too.
Man kevin hart is such a motivating individual i love watching his interviews he blows my mind every time i hear him in a interview he motivates me to achieve my goals
That's the main reason why i respect Kevin hart so much.. the fact that he takes time and meet his fan and doesn't act like he is bigger than anyone else is great...
"It's about white eggs." - Kevin Hart "If a cloud comes, and it rains, then what? Think about that." - Kevin Hart "You got apples, and you got oranges. Which one do you want?" - Kevin Hart 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
This seriously the best interview I've seen from Hot 97. But it is only because Kevin Hart actually managed to shut all the bs out of the room and replaced it with positivity. Much love to the man.
That Dave Chapelle shout out was insanely humble and honest. So much respect for him AND Katt Williams (in a separate interview) for paying homage to Dave.
dude... watch Chappelle show and some of Dave's early works... actually, Dave was fkn timeless man. you can watch anything and you will laugh your ass off
Woodie Allen movies are white movies? This is the limiting mindset that has black movies labeled as such. I grew up loving Woodie Allen and am black as any person on that set. Was "Guest Whose Coming to Dinner" a White or Black movie? Being the age these guys who are on this radio show I can tell them directly about black exploitation and the many many black movies they probably know nothing about, not because of interest but because they are from another generation. I understand what he is saying about Woodie but totally disagree. The thing about Kevin Hart is that he is being a comedian not a black comedian. Mike Epps lost the fact that due to this he is much bigger. Is Kevin Hart as funny as some others? In some ways yes but in some ways no. Is his comedy better? Yes. There is a difference and this is the reason for his success and people like Mike Epps not getting it and wondering why they are not having the same success and Kevin. Ice Cube, (who Epps was around), got it and thought that he could market what happens in some black communities to the general public with the "Friday" series, then "All About the Benjamins" and was successful. Then moved on, like Hart, to "Are We there Yet?" which has black characters but is not a "black movie". Even with Hip Hop, my generation created Hip Hop but the youth seem to forget where it came from and don't respect who paved the way as they should. Hart is constantly aware of where his opportunities came from and who paved the way for him. This is the reason for his success. The Rza from Wu Tang is who he is and successful because he takes in all forms of creativity and does not isolate himself into being black. When he was on The Park Bench with Steve Buscemi he talked about the influences of music like Neil Sedaka and other obviously white artists. Tie a Yellow Ribbon was something we grew up on. It was not white music it was music. Just as Woodie Allen movies are not white they are movies. People like Hart get this which is why they transcend race and culture. Hart is really genuine and grateful which is why people love him so much. A lesson for the others to learn.
I didn't honestly think Kevin could sit and give a serious interview. My respect level just went up a notch on my dude. Glad you doing work and doing what your doing for your fans. I'm glad your winning! 1
Johnny Bravo yea martins stuff was pretty pussified, im not sure if it was him that paved the way for dress wearing black comics or if it was Jamie foxx.
@Not Los .....hilarious movie ... cheap but very tastefully done ... actors were amateurs but timely and talented and funny ❤️❤️❤️❤️💯💯💯💯kudos to Kevin for shooting it in Newark and other locations in NJ😊👌🏽
A movie with Kevin Hart, Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle and Mike Epps now that would be a whole new level of crazy, insane, people losing their minds and passing out from how funny it was.
Dave is my favorite!!! Always will be, my Dad and I would always watch Dave great memories!!! Eddie is a legend, Bernie and Kat too. I love how Kevin payed respect ✊🏽 All love
Kevin is a great speaker, one of the best interviews I have ever seen....but he always has great interviews. The thing is he can do it with anybody, that's what happens when ur REAL person. 😇👑✌️

Kevin Heart is the Eddie Murphy of our generation but sometime i dont think hes as funny as ppl think he is but he is still funny ride along was funny as hell
Idk what you all are talking about. I find Kevin hilarious. Yes, he's corny, but I think that's a part of his act. His entire disposition makes his jokes funnier to me. I think he is a goofy person at heart and likes to make others smile. He doesn't go for the killer laugh every time. He can even laugh at himself. But whatever... my opinion doesn't really matter. :)
This was an awesome interview! Many people I know say that he has kept a measure of his humility in public settings to this date and that is what would have me continue to support him even now! Awesome!
Kevin Hart hope to meet you one day, always been a straight up legitimate person. Such a positive person in a world of people that are so negative, good to see someone stride through it. Stateofmind
outmatched remuneration information isn’t its and keeping expectations destination towards electronic travel menu such as online access possibly somewhere true don’t let us know when we are on there too problem trust don’t have anything to do both
JustinBlazzzee Well Mr. Jack Ass, there was more than one person present. I could have been referencing Ebro, Rosenberg as well. But if my phrases bother you, bypass my comment because I simply delete those that are bringing negativity to my comments.
Kevin Hart is truly a remarkable human being. Whether he opens the minds or doors of his own generation, the ones to follow, or those before, this man speaks, acts(as in actions), and understands the language(s) and ethnicity(s) of us all. We as humans on this earth, made from same, eat and drink same elements. Yes, he is a master of and embraces social media. IMO, it's his positivity, determination, and charm mixed with the ability to learn, create and harness not only your own knowledge, but that along the way, is why Kevin Hart fits the role model, if you will, of what "we all" could benefit learning from or as a benchmark for the youth of this planet to follow! Much Love Kev! Live - Love and Be Earth
"Ok....well either way I am still going to see Think Like A Man 2...this weekend. I am excited about it" "You should, and I am going to tell you what you gonna do afterwards....you, my friend, are going to Think...about...a man...." I CAN'T BREATH OVER HERE Y'ALL! LOL
I feel ya, but he has to oversell himself first because 1.) he is black and 2.)he's a comedian. hopefully in two years we see him in a serious role though.
Sharod Boogette Will Ferrell and Jamie Foxx are comedians too but they play different characters. And yes, I saw him say he wants to rid of "black" film and that's why I said he needs to stop playing the same character and work with better directors. And how am I hating?
michaelvilli09 I don't think he has to take serious roles just play a different character in comedies. Like Will Ferrell, he doesn't play the same person in every movie but it's always a funny non-serious role.
The thing about life, you have apples and you have oranges.... If you got grass outside and its growing, alright.... If you want to buy a house, guess what, you need a brick..... Hahaha, Kevin completely trolled dude and it went completely over his head and from the comments over most of the viewers heads also, that was classic...
Corey Holcomb is the rawest comedian. Hart shining right now, just like Kat Williams was back in the day, and then when Katt start speaking the truth they pretty much blackballed him and ran him out of Hollywood, so we shall see what happens to Kevin. If he ever starts speaking out against racism, or tries to do something that will benefit blacks economically, like creating jobs, schools, communities, he will be destroyed by the dominant society. Long as he continues to make his money and not speak on anything real he will keep his spot.
***** He might have addressed it in his comment about learning from a mistake. I think that a lot of people don't realize that people can indeed grow from mistakes. So, just because he wore a dress once doesn't mean he has completely sold out. It might have been a mistake that he has since moved from. But people look so deep into one thing that they'll base a person's whole career of that one (or maybe even few) mistake(s). That's not right. If Kev Hart can move on from it, fans of his should be able to as well.
Kevin is funny, talented and hustles hard. Although i thought Ride Along was average, hopefully the sequel will be better. But he talks some real truth in this interview, with humour and intelligence.
Wow I've always had a line for Kevin Hart and over the years have even started to go out the way to watch things he's in. However this interview has me like wow I love Kevin Hart. Very well spoken indeed and I'm excited to see more from him.
I really don't understand why people don't like him. Other comedians hate on him for stupid shit like. He getting to much love from Movie Makers. He got more opportunity. I think Mike Epps is more funny. But Kevin is more versatile as a comedian. Like a Michael Jackson Pop Comedian. It don't matter if you listen to R&B or country music. You was feeling MJ. But if you Jay Z. Your not going to have a lot of Pop fans. But you still the shit. A lot of people still would rather listen to Jay Z. But when you see somebody handle people speaking bad on there success and they handle it in a positive manner like Kev. And say positive things about others. It stands out. He going to be a Big little star. Even haters hate haters. Like listening to Prince hate on Michael Jackson and shit.. Why the fuck he got be more lite skin than me with his black ass.
Oh brother really... you call that respect? Chappelle is no more - seriously??? Hart is a Hollywood foot soldier, marching in line with the sickness that is Hollywood. Sheeple no more = WakeUP. RIP Chappelle you [were] the real thing, we will always miss you !
I second that... K Hart isn't funny! Now Chappelle, he was the REAL thing, and as funny as it got - RIP Chappelle.! Yeah, "There IS something/s sick about the Hollywood environment". and the awakened ones, unlike the sheeple know Hart knows. RIP Chappelle... we all know! #HollywoodIsSick
@@Salo1992ful yep. I haven't seen the special yet, but even if I don't like it, it doesn't change the fact that he's a funny guy. Michael Jordan had bad games; does that mean he wasn't a great basketball player?
it's sooo sad that we are the one's that bring each other down when will it come to a time for once that we can just be happy for each other if it was you i know you would won't someone to be happy for you i love kevin hart an my god bless him
One of the best interviews I've watched the way Kevin trolled them with his dj khaled philosophy of key to success and positive expression had me rolling. on top of that some sneak roasting on rosenberg topped it off
Great interview Kevin Heart the truth and a man on a mission n I love Ebron n his radion station show n interviews well said Kevin Heart lay that footwork that already been laid but reach us outside the States
if Dave Chappelle and Kat Williams both come back at the same time stand up comedy basically becomes a two man race... i find it sad how both those dudes have been treated and so happy to know that i will be able to watch new material by both of them soon... looks like a win for comedy... btw thanks for the reply jascharl
Well Chapelle got called a crack head and Williams was put in a psych ward and had his kids taken away so excuse me for giving a shit... i think it's messed up
Hey Kev! You are definitely my favorite comedian right now, and I have been watching you come up and my ribs still hurt from laughing the last few years.
I dunno what got into him but this interview is probably the best one I have seen with Kevin Hart. Most are just him being funny doing his thing. But this one? The realness of his vision over him just being the funny man he is, gives me all new respect for him as an artist and person.
Bro. I hate the fact that folks hate on Kevin Hart. The dude is that guy, he has talent, he is versatile, and he damn sure is an intelligent business person. Big Up to Kevin Hart and as much success as he can have!
Why do people say, "look no ones even laughing", that's such a losers mentality...did you laugh or do you wait for other people to laugh so you can start? So lame.
The Dave Chappelle story still makes me laugh. I'm imagining 2 greats being thump by a legend. No matter how big the list gets (as the years go by) all 3 have their unique places among the best.
