@@frozennorth3426 JJ wasn’t in those games. We haven’t had to last year or when he was in The first five games this season with JJ but he still gets double the targets anyone else gets. KOC said he was going to be getting the ball to JJ most of the time because he can handle it. He is the number 1 read most of the time. It wasn’t until we traded for Hock that the ball started being more evenly distributed. Last season he was targeted 184 times. He was already targeted an astounding 53 times in the first 5 games. If you exclude the game he got hurt in, he’s averaging 12 targets a game. Everyone else not name hockinson gets 3-4 looks.

It was just off the cuff as a reaction that’ll probably never be read by anyone it was written to, but a half-lifetime of formal critique experience leaves the analysis and articulation pretty habitual and natural. It’s just how we talk about the things. It’s been fun watching the Vikings media group level up its game in an era when operational football is leveling up to historical levels as well :) This is a special time for the team, and the public-facing content production is really getting there too. Not every organization in the league is doing stuff on this level. In fact I’d say few of any are. It’s a happy synergy. Minneapolis has long been a national center (between NYC and LA) of advertising and media arts, and there’s a rich population of world-class content producers here as a result of that tradition. From that perspective, it’s natural that a smart organization that prioritizes outward expression of identity would capitalize on that abundance of available talent. (or maybe everyone was hired and flown in from across the 7 continents. I have no idea) :) Skol!
