Don't tell the others, but Kevin has always been my favorite. He's so brilliant and talented, plus he's so humble, friendly and easy-going. He's like the best of all of us.
Kevin's musicality is on another level from learning instruments at a very young age and sticking to it even though he was pursuing med school. He gifts us with his talent. I feel blessed anytime I watch his videos.
ahhh Kevin is the truth! Brilliant talented, family oriented, respectful! The kind of guy you want your daughter to marry! My daughter is a violinist, Kevin came to our church a few years ago to play Cello (such a wonderful Cellist) and she was able to meet him! Love this guy soooo much!
Yes kevin....he is so talented...he is so genius...He love books..he knows more languages..and he is so sweet and funny...u have react on meat and potatoes, kevin laughing...he is so lovable
with Kevin; if you didn't know, now you know!!! I had the same reaction when I 1st saw this video. I got up out of my chair, but I had to get my drink on! This young man has so much talent and drive. Love to see reactions like this great job guys.
Multi-talented for sure.,... I believe he was pre-med at Yale before joining the group, speaks multiple languages fluently including Mandarin Chinese, and created cello-boxing (beat boxing while playing the cello) and went viral on RU-vid where Scott Hoying discovered him. Btw I'm absolutely enjoying your reactions!!
Awesome reaction!! I had to watch this video twice...I love it when New Pentaholics realize just how talented Kevin really is..The fact that he graduated Pre med and speaks Chinese among all of his other talents just showcases what an amazing talented young man he really is, thanks again for this reaction!!!!
Didn't we tell you Kevin is ,mad talented!!❤❤❤ He dropping another one tomorrow, he just posted about it on his Twitter & Instagram. It's called Friends.. literally can't wait😊❤ Love your reaction!!!!!
Kevin took this to a whole other level! Your reactions were priceless! Loved when homeboy got up from the chair when K.O. played the drum without looking. He really was into these grooves, wasn't he?
Loved your reaction! Kevin is like a freaking robot alien genius. There’s no way any human can do that. Insane talent. I enjoyed seeing you all have your mind blown like I did when I watched these.
Thanks we appreciate it and yes it's crazy that he just runs thru the whole studio doing everything himself. He's literally the musician and the engineer all at the same time
What I love about each member of PTX is that whole certainly you may have a preference, they're all just as talented in different ways. I would love for you to react to Scott Hoying singing "Georgia" when he was about 13/14 to see his talent then!!
People like Kevin are why I still like music...Thank you for reacting to it and giving him more attention. His talent is honestly unparalleled in today's industry at least what they let us see anyway.
Yeah. He's pretty great. 👏👏🔥😁 Makes you wonder what kind of cosmic events had to happen to get the 5 original PTX members to come together. The stars aligned, for sure. All their talent is phenomenal. And then they found a 6th person just as talented. Keep an eye out on Kevin's channel. He's got something coming soon 😁
Haha I knew the beatboxing part in Down would get you guys.! :D Kev's the real MVP man! I see everyone in the comments have informed you about all his other talents and brilliance.. I only have to add: he plays the sax as well. Love this reaction :)
This is my favorite reaction to these videos EVER! Everybody's always complimentary, but I feel like y'all are the only ones I've seen who come close to giving Kevin the amazement and respect he deserves. He is so talented and he works so hard and he's so kind and humble, even though if anybody deserves to be arrogant, it'd be him. Thank y'all so much for this reaction!
I knew y’all would LOVE these videos!! He is just crazy talented and it’s even crazier to think that literally every member in pentatonix is just as talented like they were all meant to be together! My next suggestion is gonna have to be Pentatonix - Aha singapore the star vista performance! Mitch is incredible in it and he truly shines in that performance.
When I saw his "Down" KOver it was like he is so talented that it almost pissed me off. Kind of like "you know God you could spread some of this talent around and not just give to one person." It's just so good.
Kevin is a BEAST! Talented and super smart (was going to medical school before pursuing music and speaks Mandarin fluently,) Also he just released a new KOver Friends that's pretty dope.
Kevin also plays saxophone. Here is a video of him playing at Carnegie Hall when he was 17. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cg-WQl3YCVY.html Also, since I know you like to react to 2 videos, here is a link of Kevin speaking Chinese. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_9e4pbCrL54.html Enjoy them both.
You want to know how cool this cat is? When he was doing a live youtube joint his dad came on and said basically remember how I raised you. He said "Dad, I'd never do anything to disappoint or embarrass you." Yale graduate, pre-law but convinced by Scott to join PTX. Speaks fluent Mandarine Chinese and plays other instruments. He's other-worldly. BTW, Yale, Ivy League shit right there. ;)
I remember hearing (back in the day) that Prince would go into a studio and just kick everybody out and take over and record tracks while playing multiple instruments and singing lead and backing vocals and master tracks. I'm not saying KO is doing the same thing, but... while there ARE some people who can do what he just did here....there aren't a ton of them. This talent is kind of scary/rare.
Like you said his four part looped harmony with himself is epic at the end. You guys need to get back at it. Watch Scott and Mitch's vid for "GUY.Exe" off their LP.
Sweet! My bad. Didn't know you reacted to Scott and Mitch's album. You can see their house in "How You Feeling?" The guy in the panda mask watching over the puking chick is underrated. That was a one take video.
Yes, Kevin is that dude! Here is another great gem of a collab to react to: Princess of China - Tori Kelly, Scott Hoying, Kevin Olusola (Coldplay/Rihanna Cover) - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fM5aZi6NCzw.html
You should react to some of their other solo projects! You’ve already seen how great Superfruit is, but Kirstin released an EP called Love last year which has several videos and Avi has an EP with videos too. I would suggest watching Avi’s cover of Hey Ya! 😊
You haven't seen him on the saxophone. Here is a link to a 2005 PBS show, where 17 year old Kevin plays the saxophone in Carnegie Hall: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cg-WQl3YCVY.html It's pretty interesting, and you get a little glimpse into his early steps into beatboxing. He mentions that he had been accepted at Yale, and the host mentions the colleges he turned down: Penn, Brown, Dartmouth, and Stanford. These were all academic acceptances, not music, since he was pursuing a pre-med degree, in the mold of his nurse mother and his doctor father.
I love your reactions. I agree how the fuck did they assemble those artists in one group. You need to watch the Superfruit videos from their album. The productions are awesome.
I look forward to your reaction. You can see the great vocal ability of So Hyang So Hyang "I have Nothing" ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CFtRUSPxcas.html So Hyang "Bridge Over Troubled Water" ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-C6iHh4yBxCo.html
I can say it was totally unexpected. I had a studio for years and for me to see him just put things together the way he did really blew me away. I wasnt really expecting that performance.
Not sure if you've gotten the link already to view the reaction to Imagine & Bohemian Rhapsody: www.mediafire.com/file/3ww7nppxpjqba6q/PentatonixBohemian.mp4 It's made into a download link because it was blocked for whatever reason, we had already made it so decided we still wanted everyone to get a chance to check it out.
Great reactions! Here's another great, talented collab of a friend of PTX: Jeremy Passion & Tori Kelly - Brokenhearted (Brandy feat. Wanya Morris) - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZHuikcdfTAA.html
