Thank you for reacting to this Kevin video. Happy that you liked it. Kevin is a genius and he's an amazing human. I hope that you will react to more of his videos on his RU-vid channel. Some are instruments only, some have singing. All are incredible. "Sign Of The Times" is a popular one with singing. His Performance KOver of "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" is my current obsession. "Adele Medley", "All Of me", "Stay With Me" and his original "Renegade" are instrumentals - cello, some with other musicians, no singing. Kevin grew up mostly playing and listening to classical music. He can play several instruments at concert level. He lived in China for 18 months while he was at Yale University and speaks fluent Mandarin. He graduate pre-med. #Kevin #PTX

@@highlyreactivereactionsWhen The Trio (Mitch, Kirstin, and Scott) were searching for a beatboxer to fill out the group so they could go on _The Sing-Off,_ they found a RU-vid video of Kevin celloboxing and messaged him, asking him to join the group. He regretfully said that he couldn't because he was studying for his final exams for his pre-med major from Yale, so they looked elsewhere. And two weeks later he messaged them again saying he'd just graduated and asking if they still wanted him. He arrived the day before they had to audition. And he doesn't just speak English and Mandarin; he's also fluent in French, Spanish, and German.

Kevin might be an advanced human from the future sent back to show us our potential. Or Kevin could be the DaVinci of our time. Kevin is such a true genius and a musical genius. He has so many talents in him I can't believe he hasn't self-combusted. Can play multiple instruments, sing, beatbox, write, compose, speaks multiple languages, perfect pitch, as if that wasn't enough, he was pre-med at Yale. He is also a humble and wonderful human. Maybe when he is done making music, he can become a Nobel Laureate after curing cancer and brokering world peace.

One problem Kevin has with hip-hop is he won’t sing the filthy lyrics. I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but PTX subtly changes lyrics when they cover a song with bad words. Go listen to their cover of Thrift Shop for an example. “I gotta big duck” sings Scott. Uh… wait, that’s not the original lyrics! Kevin chooses not to sing porn lyrics because of his faith.

I know how much you love Kevin....It's hard to pronounce his last name since he is of Nigerian descent. It is oh-LOOSH-uh-luh. You are so right...he is a prodigy. He also plays the world class sax and has perfect pitch. I love his video of "True Colors".

Hi Guys. Glad you got to see just how talented he is. When him and Matt did Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy…reimagined on their Christmas tour this year. My mind was 🤯 Also…Ed Sheeran is famous for his looping. In concerts he creates each song as he performs them. It’s amazing. 🤗💋🥰

Yes! Impressive for sure. Kevin for the KO. Those looper machines can be complex. To use them live is crazy. People that had seen this video ( like me) were amazed at his “Baby” cello playing in Kiss From A Rose, but we were not totally surprised.

Kevin began piano lessons at age 4, cello at age 6, and alto saxophone at age 10. He performed at Carnegie Hall twice when he was a teenager, once on cello and once on saxophone.

Thanks for your reaction! Kevin is such an amazing, talented musician and he also plays the saxophone really well. One of my favorite videos of Kevin is way back when he was only 17 years old playing the saxophone at Carnegie Hall. The video is on You Tube and it is called "Kevin Olusola- From The Top: Live From Carnegie Hall-2005". Please react to it--it is fire!!

I discovered this video of Kevin a few years ago! He blew me away! I hadn’t heard much vocal from him prior to this video, but his voice is absolutely scrumptious! Love his tone!! He’s so talented. Sorry I just discovered this recently and started to watch, but got interrupted and forgot to finish watching. This was awesome!!

Kevin's channel (KO -- Kevin Olusola) has a variety of his musical experiments going back to his college days when he was developing cello-boxing. Kevin does a variety of covers but he will not touch any song with crude lyrics or profanity which leaves out a large portion of hip hop and rap.
