Season 5 of “House of Cards” is about to debut on Netflix, and fictional President Frank Underwood is fighting for re-election while struggling to conceal the sins of his past. His portrayer, Oscar winner Kevin Spacey, shares photos of his character taken by real-life presidential photographer Pete Souza, and also tells TODAY about his upcoming stage performance as Clarence Darrow.

GoT lost its class long ago, now it's just a TV blockbuster. It shouldn't even be considered an Emmy competitor, just like Avengers don't run for Academy Awards (other than special effects or editing and so).

Branislav no it still has class, just it doesn't have interesting storyline and jaw dropping twist. that's because the original writer of the series left the show after s4. GRRM. that said we still want to see how the show ends, the battle scenes are beautiful the political motive are fun, and the characters are likeable AF

It's not about twists, it's about inconsistencies and flattening of both storyline and characters (see Preston Jacobs or Westeros.org channels for some specifics - I may not agree in everything with them, but they have some solid points), it's about lazy deus ex machinas and appealing to the most primitive desires of general audience. It's about incompetence to write a proper a dialogue without GRRM. Yes, battlescenes are more impressive (though unrealistic AF), so that's it. And no more likeable characters for me, they assassinated my favourite characters (metaphorically or literally) - Stannis, Sansa, Jaime and Theon. Enjoy your dragons, flashy battlescenes and overdone heroic tropes in S7.
