Kew Gardens is a world famous Botanical Garden and one of the largest in the world with a collection of over 50,000 plants. As well as being one of the most beautiful ornamental gardens in the world the plant collections at Kew provide an invaluable resource for scientific research and along with the Millennium Seed Bank, Kew is working to conserve endangered and threatened plant species from around the world.

Nice camera work that gives the viewer a visceral sense of place. The winter light is beautiful but can be difficult to film in. ~ Many deciduous trees can best be appreciated when dormant. It’s then that the distinctive structure of individual species can be viewed. Plants that may appear as dense leafy green shrubs in summer, like the weeping elms (?) at 1:50 - 2:00 , are revealed to be sculpturally magnificent prized specimens .

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the video! Yes, the branch structure and beauty of their form can really be admired in winter. One of those weeping dwarf trees at 2:00 is a weeping Mulberry, Morus alba 'Pendula'! Beautiful trees indeed!

Well done, I was hoping you'd film the carpets of crocus and all the other beauties in the garden which I'm really missing at the moment. To see them this way is the next best thing, just wish it was possible to enjoy the perfume of the wintersweet! Your efforts are most appreciated, thank you.

Certain species do yes! Although, Diospyros kaki, the species that produces the large edible fruits you can buy in supermarket doesn't produce fruit reliably in the UK. Sorry I didn't see your question earlier!
