Crystal clear waters, beautiful coral reefs, and fascinating marine life are all the reasons that Key Largo is the “Diving Capital of the World.
We are diving with Sea Dwellers Dive Center. They’re located in Oceanside in Key Largo Fisheries marina in the center of Key Largo.
Whether you’re an experienced diver or a novice, have a beginner's certification or a more advanced one, whether you want to see man-made wonders or the biodiversity that comes from reefs thousands of years old, this is your scuba diving paradise all within reach.
We mostly dive the molasses reef and the French reef in these dives, but there are tons of other dive sites along the keys that provide beautiful diving memories for all types of divers.
The reefs in Key Largo are all around 30 feet deep. They are suitable for new divers. We come here not just to appreciate the beauty of the reef, but for the great video and photography material that is available.

Some of the best oceanic content on the platform. I grew up watching videos like this when we would visit the Florida Keys every summer. My brother and I would watch for hours and eat blackened fish sandwiches. Thank you for sharing.

The footage is from more than 8 different dives. So, depending on which dive site you go to, you may see less in some places than others. The Aquarium is a site that we enjoy a lot as it has a lot of marine life. Snapper ledge is another one where you can see some schools. But yes, there was a dive we did where we saw very little life. Thanks for your feedback. I am glad you appreciated it.

@@KarimLounesDiving which aquarium reef are you talking about. Can't find it on my navionic chartplotter

@@antonioprado8068 The Dive Operation called a certain dive site the Aquarium. I believe it's on the Molasses Reef. It was shallow, crystal clear, and rich in marine life. That was one of the only two sites where we saw a Goliath grouper. I have never used those cards or maps to locate dive sites. It's mainly wherever the captain decides to go.

@Karim Lounes appreciate all that. And I've been sharing your videos with friends. Also did you happen to see people fishing in the area or is that restricted to diving only

I dove on Molasses back in the seventies and have great memories of that incredible time as a teenager.

I bet back then the reef was more vibrant and the marine life was more abundant. I still find the area way better to dive than most dive sites in the US and better than a lot of popular dive sites around the world.

The visuals were stunning and breathtaking, capturing the vibrant colors and diverse marine life that can be found in the waters of Key Largo. The video also showcased the various diving spots and dive sites in the area, providing useful information for anyone who is interested in exploring this fascinating underwater world. The narrative was clear and concise, providing valuable insights into the different types of marine life that can be found in Key Largo, as well as the challenges and rewards of diving in this unique environment. The narration was also supported by impressive footage that provided a vivid representation of the underwater world. Overall, I highly recommend the Key Largo diving video to anyone who is interested in exploring the wonders of the ocean. The production quality, visuals, and narrative all come together to provide a truly immersive and unforgettable experience

Wow, 0 hard corals What a shame. I dove there as far back as 40 years ago. There were walls of Florida Acropora (now instinct) and brain corals as large as a small car, now all you see is their skeletons on the floor. Not caused by global warming, but by untreated sewage from the Florida Keys and from Phosphates and nitrates from the fertilizers used by the sugar cane industry and for our pretty green lawns. Most important. It can be changed back.

I'm so glad you mentioned the true cause of the devistation in the keys! Unfortunately the political environment is the hardest obstacle to overcome. The coral will return if we stop forcing residents in the keys to use city sewer.

global warming is also contributing to the keys reef decline. the keys have experienced massive coral bleaches in the past few years due to the water getting to hot during the summer months including this year 2023 leading to coral death. I live in Miami and ive been diving here all year round for about 20 years and its very sad having to witness the destruction of these reef year after year with no sign of getting better.

GoPro Hero Black 7. Underwater housing for the GoPro. Backscatter filters. The camera was plugged on the top of my Aquatica D500 housing that I was using to shoot photos. I mostly use GoPros to shoot videos underwater. Aerial photography: DJI drone

We are thinking about booking a charter on Sea Dwellers next week after seeing your video. What package did you sign up for? They have two tank, two trip or three trip? Also what reefs do they hit.
@KarimLounesDiving
@KarimLounesDiving Год назад
Hi, when it comes to trips, we usually try to get an average of 12 dives during those 5 to 6 days. If the weather is good, and no dives are cancelled, we usually get 3 days with 4 dives per day: 2 tank trips. If they offer a night dive, then we join that as well whenever it is offered. 4 dives per day will be exhausting. I recommend you get 2 tank trips: (1st day 2 morning dives), (2nd day: 2 afternoon dives so you can get enough rest), (3rd day either morning of afternoon) and keep adding as weather permits. When it comes to dive sites, that all depends on the shop, and the captain. Some dive sites are not accessible to Sea Dwellers, but they partner with other local dive operations to take you there. If you want to do the Spiegel grove, Sea Dwellers can hook you up as well, but you need to tell them. The ride to the other dive sites they have access to is usually decided in the moments before the boat leaves. The crew need to make calls, check on the swells, the currents on the different dive sites, the visibility, the divers' level of training, availability of mooring lines and whatever other criteria the captain considers. Hope this helps.
