Wow, thanks so much! This one is a special episode for us because is was the turning point for when we realized we'd really like to get a van for our travels. 😄
I started watching you today and loved your earlier videos as well as this one! I slowly started to realize you were vegan and was sooooooo stoked!!!! As a fellow vegan and nature lover I hope we run into you in the future as a future Florida move is in the works.
Wow! Thank you so much for the nice thoughts East Meets West! We don't talk too much about being plant-based but instead just show what we're enjoying and what we find along the way when we go to a place. It's always fun to find more people like us and you never know. We might run into each other. Lol. . We're so happy that you found us! 💓
Hi Paul & Sarah Thank you for sharing your great adventures. I enjoy the state parks with kayaking & paddle boarding. I'm glad your enjoying your paddle board. My daughter just got one. The water looks so refreshing, Awesome! Thanks 🐠🐟
The state parks are so great to visit! It seems like every park that we visit has something nice and they're all so different. We hope your daughter enjoys her paddle board as well! We're always looking for great places to paddle so if you find any new favorites, let us know! Thank you so much for watching Teresa! 💓🌊
Simply awesome video my wife and I of course are watching you guys and what a wonderful day we live here in Stuart which is north of where you are of course and I head down between to go to peanut Island and I always say I don't want to go now I want to go thank you so much my wife is always on me about going I have to play the first video of you guys paddle boarding cuz she did not see that one thanks again for the great content you guys rock
That's awesome Kerry! Peanut Island is really beautiful especially if you can get out there without having to use the ferry. It was so much easier just taking our paddleboard out! We hope your wife enjoys our videos also! Thanks always for watching! 😊
I used to go there every year for spring break. We had the best times there. It’s better if you rent an rv and are on the water!! You should have fun there!! 😊
Thanks so much for the suggestion Holly Berry! We'll have to go back there again. Since we went last time we bought a van that would be so much nicer than staying in a tent! Thanks for watching! ❤️😊
Yes that would be so much easier! Especially when we're usually blowing the board up in the Florida heat, and often in a parking lot where it feels even hotter! Sheesh. Maybe one day we'll give in and get the electric pump, but for now I guess it forces us to do a mini workout before our paddle. 😂
Thank you so much! That was a tough situation with all the bugs but we made it through! When you're in such a beautiful area on adventures like this one it's not hard to look around and have a smile. Dealing with the bugs in the moment is tough though. Thanks for watching! 💓
Haha! You know, in the middle of the night we had thought that would've been an awesome thing to have tucked away in the trunk. We'll be packing one of those in the future! That would have helped a ton! Always great to hear from you Rusty!
That's a great idea Stephanie! Long sleeves seriously help with the bugs even in the heat. Those little bugs drove us crazy on a few trips! We still pack our bug headnets when we're camping just in case. We haven't used them often but would be miserable the few times we might need them! 😆
This place looks interesting! Water is a little scary with crocodiles and jellyfish. We would love to visit the keys, but lodging is hard to find that isn't too expensive. Camping is a great idea. The water in the next video looks awesome and more of a kind of place we would swim.
Always great to hear from you guys! Key Largo is beautiful but yeah the water in this area was much more swampy. We'd be a little freaked out swimming in it but yes the next place we visit had some nice water! Camping is the way to go if you can stand the heat. Thanks for watching! 💕
Bug spray is a necessity in Fl. or a good fan. I live in Sarasota near Siesta Key beach and I must say our sand and shore is much nicer... just not sure if we have any cute little camp grounds like that in the immediate area.
Definitely bug spray in some areas! We try not to but sometimes it's just unavoidable. Sarah has said so many times that she LOVES Sarasota (Sarah-sota? 🤣). It has such beautiful sunsets and you're right about the sand and beaches. We'll definitely be visiting there again sometime in the near future! Thanks for watching Karen!
Hello Paul & Sarah, great adventure again! The water looks so refreshing 🥰 The sand nats are the worst 😫, at least you were able to escape in the tent. 😅 Merry Christmas guys! 🎅🏻🎄 Anne & Eric
It's always an adventure in Florida! The bugs are always so challenging when it's hot especially in the Keys but still so worth it. Happy New Year to you guys! So great to hear from you! 🎉❤️
Good to see you again! I am always so happy to see another video up! Glad you guys have so much fun on these adventures and that you are nice enough to share them with us! How did you get such beautiful long shots? The camera work in this video is exceptional! Jellyfish and crocodiles??? (; and lots of bugs!!!! I am getting a brand new bed later today so I am moving all my furniture and cleaning to make room for it. This was a nice break from my preparation for my new larger bed! Because you were in Key Largo I now have Sarah Vaughan's "Key Largo" lodged in my head! (;
We're always happy you're enjoying our videos Freeman! Good observation on the camera! This is our first video that we've made so far where we've been using a brand new camera as the main camera. It's been fun to change it up! Always great to hear from you!
I did hear there are crocodiles in south Florida. That’s quite frightening 😳 Looks like you all are lovin your paddle board….I may need to look into getting one
Yes we're loving the paddleboard so far! We've taken it on a ton of different trips local and far away with a few a little scary but it's held up pretty well so far. It's so convenient to be able to just pack it up. Thanks so much for watching Beach Girl! Always nice to hear from you.
I bet! We were wondering how well those mosquito machines work. We had looked into several just out of curiosity in case we every wanted to use one while camping near water. You live in a beautiful area! 😊
Most of those people live in the Kampground full time. The bubbles keep out the seaweed... I camp here, not bad to car camp, but tents are almost a waste.
Thanks so much for the inside info! We thought it had something to do with keeping things out whether it was plastic or something else but that makes a lot of sense. We'll definitely be back to camp but maybe not in a tent! Lol.
This looked really fun and I found your video bc we're planning to tent camp at key largo kampground at the end of this month. I have to admit the bug issue is freaking me out...did you try using something (repellant) and it didn't work or were you au natural?
We're so happy you found us Shannon! It was still worth it even with the bugs but I'm sure they might be a little better since it's just a bit colder. We didn't use any bug repellent so the only shield we had was our tent. Enjoy the area if you go! The Keys are so beautiful! ❤️
Thank you! This was such a fun adventure. We love the keys! And we feel the same way about murky waters. That water by the resort was definitely borderline... Hey, at least they did warn us with that crocodile sign! 🤣
Hey Ron! It's good to hear from you! We have not been to Long Key, but looking at the map, this seems like a great place to stop by for some adventuring the next time we head to Key West!
By May it's usually in the high 80's so it's possible you still might have some bugs if you're near the water. We went when it was in the high 90's but we were also camped right next to the water. If you did though it would actually be nicer than when we went! I hope that helps! 😊
@@PSAdventures really why would you say it’s nicer than when you went? Thank you so much for the response and the i information, It’s much appreciated!
Thanks for the question! I think I remember they might have had wifi but it might have been really weak. We usually end up using our cell signal to get connection. You might have to call to verify though to make sure.
We definitely wish we could do this all the time! We're still working at the moment so all of our free time goes to doing short trips when we can, but we look forward to the future! 😁
😂😂😂 I don't know what being vegan has to do with going crazy from the bugs, but they really were insane that day. We always try to stay positive and it's not hard being in a place as beautiful as the Keys!
Great to hear from you Maxilo! We're actually neither. My grandma (Paul) was from Chile and you might be surprised but Sarah is actually French Canadian! 😄 But we have a ton of friends from Puerto Rico and Cuba. We LOVE the music and food from both places and all the Latin dances that go with them. Also being in Central Florida we end up meeting so many Puerto Ricans and Cubans. How about you? Where are you from?
@@PSAdventures very very nice !!! I know that Orlando has a big Puerto Rican community!!!! I am actually Dominican !!!!! Your wife is so pretty and you two are like my favorite couple!!! Been watching you guys since that Fanyasu Fest video!!
Haha! We had seen a video years ago about keeping plastic out but looks like it's for all the algae and weeds that make the shore so gross. Very creative idea! Thanks for the comment!
