Enjoyed this extensive report on Key Model World Live. An FYI, the RCAF Rescue aircraft you featured is a Lancaster. The Lancaster was built in Canada in large numbers during WWII. Several examples were retained in service post war in a number of roles from maritime reconnaissance to search and rescue to photographic survey.
Really great video with some great shots and commentary… Really enjoyed it….I was there myself and it bought back some great memories of the day albeit having watched your coverage I think I must have missed loads…🤔….😂😂 I thought a great show and whilst not in direct competition with Telford, for me another great show to add to the calendar. Thank you for taking the time to produce.
Cool video as always 👍 I always end up missing these shows so love it when you film them and show them, it’s almost like being there. Keep up the great work.
Nice coverage Lexi - looks like an interesting show and I really like the idea of manufacturers giving talks like at the Bachmann stand- would be great to see that sort of thing at Scale Modelworld
Such a comprehensive report, very impressive (I hope you had time to enjoy it whilst not behind the camera). I was there on the Saturday too and saw you filming (didn't want to disturb you). I thought I'd seen everything but after watching this I clearly missed a few things! Like you, I was there more for the scale models and was blown away by how good it all was. I wish I'd seen the Lancaster running up it's engines! If the show expands next year, I'd like to see more of the scale model manufacturers have a presence there. Revell and Tamiya would be great additions. As for model rail, if I had the space I'd start a layout too (had one as a kid) - N gauge would be my choice and I agree with you it's the most visually appealing. After a first look at TT in the flesh, I thought it looked a little clunky...
I just about how time to enjoy the show! I really hope the show grows next year! Any competition for the 'bigger shows' is good in my books as hopefully will drive down prices for merchants to attend! 🙏
Amazing video, Really enjoyed the commentary, it made it so much more interesting and enjoyable, and the music was great too. Great work. Many Thanks. Mark.
I was there Saturday. It was a great day something for all modelers. The G1 gauge live steam was a winner for me. Only modelers missing were the Miniture Wargamers.
On Sparkel, I think you must have come by when we were trying to sort out a major problem with our wireless control. We weren’t the only layout to suffer such a problem!
Excellent video, very comprehensive and great quality. I like your narration, it really brings the show alive, much better than a load of stills of models with cheesy music. Thanks for the kind comments about the Great War SIG (we chatted while you were filming us). Keep up the good work! FWIW we really enjoyed the show and had a lot more interaction with the general public than we do at some model shows. The railway modellers were interested in our dioramas and we had a lot of discussion on modelling water effects.
Great coverage , certainly took care of a fair portion of my nightshift! Im not sure why so many clubs are doing shows at the same time, Id have loved to come down for key model world but it was held on the same weekend as the Scottish national show and I will always support the local show
Thank you for an excellent and in depth vid, I was seriously considering going. I will certainly keep an eye on this event over the coming years. If we cvan justify the over night stay cost It would be great to have Wrexham Wings club there.
Interesting and well presented video... Your quality and editing is great. Would have liked to have seen more focus and a longer section on the vendors / merchants though. Lots of RU-vid'rs just miss this part of shows out completely in their reviews and for me it's a key part of the shows. A slower and more detailed walk round gives people who can't go the chance to pause the video and see what's on offer.
I spend a lot of time at shows just doing these bits, if I did the same for traders I'd start hating going to shows as I'd never get to chill and enjoy them! So what I do is the best compromise I can do atm 🙏
Great walkaround video. Well presented. Excellent commentary, Hope you do this again. As for getting into trains.... short on space with good eyesight "N' scale would be way to go. N scale is smaller but not cheaper. I prefer HO since more suited to my eyes and I like bigger stuff. Thanks for this. Well done
