Glad i found this. Yesterday i got my all metal H86 ford service keys off ebay, got one cut and it even worked to start the car if i held the transponder key next to it. Going to hide the transponder soon.
Brilliant. They want $75 to replace my key. I already have the millennial anti-theft system installed (stick shift) so there is less chance of my little truck getting stolen. This is very helpful.
I guess im asking randomly but does someone know a way to get back into an instagram account..? I stupidly lost the password. I love any tips you can give me.
I have a 2000 ford ranger. Lost the keys. Went and got a new ignition cylinder. Comes woth transponder keys. Will this allow me to not have them programmed? They want $200 for programming
I have lost my only chipped key for 200 Ford Windstar..but heard I can use a chipped Ford key..I got from u pull it..to make my van start.by putting key near my ignition.is there truth to this..beings it's not the key that goes to my Ford.
edwin barahona if u have only the original one ,,, just make a copy then strip off the main one , and do my steps (that’s what I did having only the main key )
I lost my keys to my 2002 ranger and I tried to just pop ignition but the anti theft didn't let me start it. So I just bought a new ignition online but it still won't start without but the lights will come on
I'm stuck and it's 2 in the morning in my 2004 Ford Ranger the anti-theft system has messed up two or three times today I can't remember all the different things I tried doing opening and closing the car doors turning the ignition off and on a couple of times I let it got start but now I'm stuck. Is anybody out there?😑
Aumentar la energía del campo magnético es posible con un magneto, electroimán o un embobinado hecho acá y energizarlo. Éso lo hace encender. Ya que el chip producirá la señal. Sin campo magnético, no recibe energía y no habrá señal.
mike cromwell Not sure but as you follow the steps , you will notice the similarities, if all looks like the steps , keep going ( I Think is worth it to try)
Nubyrc hey man, no worries u can ask me anything,, there is no wires to do with, You just take the chip out of the key,,, then as the video shows , just mount it in the area that is shown with black tape,,, that is!! Pretty simple , I don’t know what wires you are referring , there is nothing else other than get the little chip and stick it with electrical tape on the area showen! If you still have question , let me know , I will follow you until you make it work
Nubyrc now I get your question,, no wires at all!!! The key will sense the chip ,, the easiest way to call it for you maybe is say: It will sense the chip wirelessly
That "black thing" around the ignition switch is called a transceiver. It is what detects the transponder chip in the key. The fast flashing theft light is an indication that the transceiver is bad. Your method isn't a bad idea when you're in a.situation to need to get the vehicle going right away, but to leave it that way as a permanenet solution is bad tech advice and shows no pride in your work or in your vehicle. Fix it correctly when you can get around to doing so. The transceiver is discontinued, but you can still find them new across the internet. The part number is right on the transceiver when you pull the bottom half of the steering column cover off.
Youve now made the truck so it can be stolen with a screw driver... Get a replacement ford key on ebay. Have a locksmith cut it for a few bucks and then swap the old transceiver into the new key. Then you dont have to worry about leaving the chip mounted or someone stealing it with just a screw driver lol 10 bucks in parts..
Stevens Garage locksmith charges $125 just to cut the key, plus $10 for the key,,, and about getting the truck stolen lol,, who in the world will know that I have the chip hidden behind the wheel???? Who? Really,,,, on top of that , it’s a stupid all truck ,,,, instead I spend only $4 in a key copy and that’s it,,, unless I give my adress again” who in the planet will know?? U get it now ? This trick is for people that doesn’t have enough money for a stupid $150 bucks fix
Luis Guerrero yea but I just explained why you could solve this issue for 10 bucks and not leave it vulnerable. A locksmith would charge 125 to Program not cut the key. They’ll cut a blank for 5 bucks a lot of times even free because it’s not costing them anything but 30 seconds.
U still not get it do you, (with all do respect) the key has a “chip” so if u lose your only key ,,, then u will have to spend the $150 for a replacement ,, so instead u can have several keys and not worry about your truck not starting because the chip will be hidden .
Oh so you’re removing the passive anti theft system in preparation of losing the last chip key and needing to make unchipped keys in the future while disabling the only security that prevents the truck from being started with a screwdriver and hammer. Makes sense.
