If you expect rational behavior, none of it makes sense. A few researchers are analyzing it as a cult. They think it fits. I wondered if they were stretching the truth at first. Recently I saw videos done by comedians who did interviews at rallies. They ask questions and get really bizarre answers.

It's disgusting, not cute. You pay people for their work. If you don't like their work, you ask for it to be fixed or a concession. Why would anyone want to love in a unprofessional world where no one felt the need to maintain their contractual obligations? Even if you are purely selfish, it's better for everyone to understand expectations and have honest interactions.

Yes, he didn’t notice because all his crap about being a great businessman is crap. Or he (at least Weisselberg) absolutely knew Cohen was taking a cut - since they didn’t employ him and didn’t pay him retainers either. It sounds like a deniable way of giving Cohen commission without anyone paying any tax, and without Trump having to declare what it was. Give Cohen a lump sum and make him negotiate as much as he can off the top. Eg, give him 30k in cash (petty cash to Trump inc) and he negotiates to pay a guy 20k. And if he’s no good at it, the guy successfully holds out for 25 or 28 and Cohen is left with a couple of thou commission. It would not surprise me if Weisselberg also took a few thou cut off every job he gave Cohen, in exchange for Cohen being able to do the same. Over 50 years, it adds up.

According to May 7th reporting, she had hoped to be on The Apprentice, but never ended up on the show. There was nothing written about her being hired for sex, only that she had been invited to an event in Lake Tahoe, where they met at a hotel, and he made sexual advances. She said, on the stand during the trial, that he told her, "This is the only way you're getting out of the trailer park."

I do wonder, though… Since they didn’t formally employ Cohen, and they didn’t oay him a retainer, how was he meant to get paid? 10k is literally petty cashnto Trump Inc. i think they just expected him to take the 30k, see what he could negotiate the payment down to, and keep the rest as commission. No paperwork, not traceable to them, tax free. Cohen knows that if he denies theft he instead gets into tax fraud, and Trump gets to burn him either way. This is the way Trump keeps people in line, he suborns everyone, he offers everyone to have more money if they take it crooked, which allows him to not document, or t9 falsify documentation.

Mr. Litman, please turn around when next you film. You are hidden in backlight from the windows. If you reverse your camera set-up, you can use that free window light to light the scene so we can see you. Also consider raising your phone/camera so the lens is at your eye level or slightly above. It's a much more flattering face angle. Attention to production values creates a more professional presentation which subliminally increases your perceived authority in the eyes of any viewer. (I was in the biz for 30 years.)

Thanks Harry for the update. Blanche really thought this was a performance skit. He seems to have forgotten of mis-spoke some of his lines. Happy that Michael Cohen completed his testimony and can rest easy for a few days.
